Smile WTB: E90 or E92 M3 Competition Pack

Hi everyone....I'm new to this forum and this is my first post...hopefully a success! Having watched from the sidelines over the past few months, I thought I'd sign up and reach out to the community in my search to buy either an E90 (preferred) or E92 M3 with Competition Pack. I'm open minded as to whether it will be a daily or more occasional, and happy to consider anything from v low ks to circa 100,000ks. I'm located in Melbourne....please let me know if you or anyone you know has a suitable car - I'm ready to go! Thanks everyone + cheers

Just to put into perspective as to what you are looking for. I have an e90 comp spec, there are only 116 globally in right hand drive just over 60 odd made it to Australia. You are looking for a hell of a rare car.

Wow…thanks for that context @FundedbyCrypto. While I realise that the E90 is rarer than the E92, though those numbers you’ve quoted are certainly lower than what I would have imagined……Just as well I’m a patient man!! A few hours after my initial post, an E92 comp was listed on Carsales….hopefully a matter of time for the right one…..🤞

Wow, are there definitely only 116 e90 ZCP worldwide in RHD?!
I picked up my e90 zcp in Aus a few months back, I thought it was uncommon but didn't know it was that uncommon to locate one!

I saw that exact car posted, personally for the options but more so the KMS the price is rather high, there was a non comp spek e92 for sale here in melbourne 2 months back with only 8k kms on the clock and it was a superb example. that was only asking 85k

also for reference have a look for your self on production numbers.

I agree - for that just listed E92…whilst MY2013 is desirable, with 81,500ks / $79.9k is a very ambitious asking price…

How are you enjoying your E90 comp? What are the specs?

I’d say 80k is a bargain.

Each to their own…..probably depends on it’s condition and any of the preventative maintenance having being undertaken. IMHO it would want to be spot on for those $$ in context of what’s been on market over the past few weeks: an My11 e92 comp with 134ks sold for $42k in Adelaide and I think a member’s e90 non comp with ~108ks and the essential preventative maintenance done sold for $52k, another non comp e90 with the essential preventative works is currently advertised on Carsales with similar k’s for $56k….big spreads….

each to their own, but given the history year to date it is by far the most expensive car for what it is. an 8000km 2012 fully optioned e92 had an asking price of 85k and that car was like new.

Ha! That’s funny @FundedbyCrypto…and no I didn’t receive a DM. Feel free to send the specs to this email: shusha9092@gmail.com - I’d love to take a look. Awesome that you’re loving it and I must say - sitting in traffic today and looking around, there’s really so few cars - regardless of price - that have the presence or appeal as these E9xxs for me. Can’t wait….

They are so rare to see on the road and i'm on it almost all day every day. There is always a sign of appreciation when you see another one. since owning mine (4 months) I've seen 4 on the road 3 e92's and 1 e93. I've not seen another e90 yet, I can't wait to see one. I also DMed you.

Thanks - beautiful spec and quintessential color / trim combo IMHO. Yeah - that’s the shame of driving one - you don’t actually enjoy the look of it / see it unless hunting reflections in shopfronts!! Enjoy mate.

I consider Jerez & black interior as the go to be on these E9x…I used to have an individual e92 335 DCT which was carbon black on platinum (really light champagne/ off white leather) with blue saddle stitching and piano black interior - looked stunning though needed a weekly wipe down to ensure it kept clean. I reckon BMW has some of the best inky blue/blacks out there: Jerez, Azurite, carbon (probably too common now given it’s become a standard color on anything from an ‘x’ to a 7 series!) and onyx blue. Range Rover has Mariana black and for something a bit more blue - the Tanzanite or Porsche’s Gentian blue….very nice.

I have a 2011 Jerez Black E90 M3 ZCP, with black Novillo leather interior and carbon trim, with Individual HiFi and only 48,000km on the clock. It's an awesome beast, however I just don't drive it that much (as can be seen from the k's). Have been considering off and on for the last 2+ yrs about selling it as it is a lot of coin tied up in a car which isn't being enjoyed to its potential - COVID has just made this worse as I have swapped a lot of travel for working from home. Every time however I go to sell it I keep thinking about how I will likely kick myself in the future given values are only going sideways at worse. That being said, have recently bought a new house, so suggest I need to face reality and will likely put it on the market sometime soon. Let me know if the car is of interest - as mentioned, unlikely to want to do something immediately, but sounds like you aren't in a rush either.

Where in Vic are you located? I agree it is really rare to see another on the road, particularly another Jerez Black one!
