At what point does the car go into limp mode? You might need a new throttle actuator(s). But no definitely not! You shouldn't ever go into limp mode. Something is wrong...

Absolutely normal with a missing gasket, and would strongly advise *against* driving without the exhaust system properly sealed. You are asking for trouble and limp mode is attempting to shield you from it.

This. Need to know what is actually causing it to be certain.

Agreed and think Mike meant "advise *againt* driving".

S65s are more prone to pre-cat 02 sensor problems as there is a joint between the header and the sensor. Plenty of chance for the negative pressure wave to suck some air in an cause a lean sensed condition when really it isn't. Now the DME starts adding fuel to get back to target lambda, but in reality is rich and doesn't know it.

Code says misfiring with all cylinders and misfiring exhaust worsening. Went to bmw dealership and they said its proby because of the headers flange is missing and the computer is throwing those codes and making it into limp mode. Plus the car idle pretty rough when cold and when its warm at a complete stop. It idles at 600rpm and jitter down to 200 and back to 600 consistently. Not sure if that is because of limp mode or maybe its something else thats wrong too

Thank you and edited!

Definitely advise AGAINST!

I'm surprised it's not in limp mode all the time with a sealing issue there. This will certainly cause all sorts of misfire issues due to the o2 feedback being thrown off completely.

so if i were to replace the flange and the new gasket in t he limp mode should go away and the idling issue should be back to normal and not idling around 600rpm to 200rpm?

Provided the issue was the gasket, and that wouldn't be surprising, yes.

You're subjecting your car to further issues by continuing to drive with present issues - whether that be failed parts/seals or incorrectly installed parts/seals.

Replace the parts you are aware are faulty, clear faults, and road test the vehicle. If further faults or issues appear, post them up here or search for a solution.

Oxygen sensor feedback is one of the most important functions for obtaining and maintaining proper combustion quality.
