Out of 2800 CS, 2002 tii, 3.0 CSi, 633CSi, 320i, 735i, 323i, 635CSi, 325i, 735i, 318is, 530i, 318iT, 650i, 320iT, 535i, 320i, 330i, 520d and 230i that I drove or were driven in, the 635CSi is probably at the top. But there is an E32 735i in there, which I would also happily drive to the moon and back. As long as someone paid for the fuel...

1. If we're in perfect world where the car would never break in my lifetime? Z4M Roadster.
2. If we're in reality and I'm forced to choose one REAL car? My current M4. 3. If we're in reality but could make a BMW which already exists a bit different? M4 GTS in a six speed. |

These are my favorites:
Of course the E46 330cic 6-speed sport started rusting rapidly, so I was forced to unload that. The 03 E39 540i (true) M-sport 6-speed will always be with me. I keep it in showroom condition; have not quite driven anything that compromises so little comparatively. Lots of sentimental value as well over the years. (Next to my buddy's E24) I am however gearing up for the next-generation M3... something tells me that it will be a gem.

Funny coming across this post. I actually had a conversion about this with a buddy of mine. Having the X5 50i Msport and loving every minute of it, I'd consider the X5M as the only BMW I would own for the rest of my life. Very versatile, car-like handling, and stupid fast!

It might have to be the Z8 for me. That's one of the most beautiful cars in my eyes. However, the M2C is also a great car for me, aka affordable. Choices are good

For me it would have to have a NA inline 6, RWD, sport package, Hydraulic steering and manual trans. Also, it can't be too big and certainly not too heavy.
At this point in my life it would be an E46 M3 CSL. If I needed 4 doors it would be an E46 ZHP. If I needed more utility it would be a properly equipped unicorn E46 wagon. I love the size, style, quality and feel of the E46.

If I had to choose from what's currently available, I'd say M6 GC. When it's available, I'd choose M8 GC. Perfect blend of racecar, land yacht, and grocery getter.
