Maintenance of M3 Frozen Silver Edition paint?
Hi Everyone,
Really need your help and feedback. My M3 is 3 years old and I am in the process of replacing it. I really want the limited edition M3 Frozen Silver Edition Coupe but have a few car care questions. So, If anyone has one you could possibly help me out. Ive been told that cleaning them is a real chore as its not as simple as a driveway wash. Bird sh*t ive been told can wreck the paint??? Im a bit blagged as to what my next move should be as I love the Frozen Silver matte paint work and the whole package........ Yours truly, a blagged M3 lover Dave |

The color maintenance is tough, if you'll get a clear wrap all over right away, that's another story.
I don't know how much the prices are in the UK at the moment, but you guys are pretty lucky Find me a santorini blue m3 !!! As long as the price is ok with you, go for it.

washing wouldnt be my main concern, it would be touch ups for minor damage.
Mercedes has the same matte finish in a couple colours and if you scuff the bumper you're in for a real treat for something that should be a few hundred bucks on a normal colour. paint matching is reserved for only the best of body shops. might be better off getting a regular paint scheme and vinyling the desired finish |

Bird shit destroys any paint. This whole matte paint care thing has gone off the deep end. The car is painted the same exact way but has a flattening agent in the clear coat. You can maintain it just like a normal car

maintain=wash...then yes. You can not polish or compound a frozen color.

you cant use polish or regular waxes on these types of paints. swissvax makes a wax and spray detailer for matte paints its called opague.

Some bad advice in here...
True details on this paint can be a little challenging. Simple washes are the same as any other car though. Don't use compound or polish, or you'll ruin the paint.

It pretty easy to maintain. Use swissvax opaque products and Chem Guys Matte Detail Spray.
