Australian onlinemagazine caradvice.com.au takes the Brabham BT92 "full throttle"

Source: http://www.caradvice.com.au/30221/br...full-throttle/

Source: http://www.caradvice.com.au/30218/fu...ottle-day-8-9/

Looks like CarAdvice.com.au is giving us a teaser only for now but from the teaser it sounds like the car might not be that bad, here is their quote:

Quote:
Unfortunately, the Veritas was in the Britain, which meant just concentrating on Brabham’s M3. Good choice, because as soon as you see it, you’ll agree it is one tough looking car. The engine was cranked, and barked into life with a growl. It settles into a deep gravely rumble, which is ready to make your ears bleed at any moment.

The BT92's styling is definitely growing on me, but when I saw it in person at Essen, I had the strong feeling that it was overdone. Not to mention the HUGE price tag...I'll wait for more than the teaser.

The rear fenders are overdone. Leaving that aside I like that car, though I don't believe it will sell. F 599 GTB money should buy you nothing else...

Best regards, south

The price is stupid- plain and simple for that kind of money ($310K), I would get something a bit more Ferrari or I don't know maybe even a Weissman GT MF-5, or Spyker C8 Aileron. The Brabham may have better performance but if I was going to spend that much money I would want something a bit different than a hopped up BMW ///M3 from a design point.

Would love to see the Brabham in person: design, while a bit OTT, works for me. Great colour too.

It's a neat car, but $300k is just beyond dumb.

I like it. Completely OTT and given the euro/dollars there's some great cars available, but for an ///M it looks and sounds spectacular.

I think it's ugly. If I had that kind of money to spend on my ///M it would be way nicer and faster than that thing too. I'd build it totally custom for a fraction of that price.

I like the car a lot, but my only problems are the rear bumper/exhaust setup (dual centered tips on a big car is a big nicht-nicht), the rear fender which is wayyy over done, and the price tag ($310k!!! with that kind of money I'd get a Novitech Rosso F430 or 599...)

i really do love this car. i just dont see a person in their right mind paying to buy one of these. I think if you were to buy this car and make it look the same exact way it would cost you maybe 1/3 of the price they are asking for.

Much as I like the looks and the performance available it's price tag is punching well beyond it's brand image, Brabham is no Brabus.

If it had have been around the £100K mark then possibly it would sell but not at this price (£250K UK approx pricing). Did no-one tell them we are in a recession.
