Need tire size recommendations with swift springs
need help from tire experts
currently running bbs lm 20x9 et15 with 255/30 hankook v12 tires and 20x10 et20 with 305/25 hankook tires on stock non-edc suspension rear tires need to be replaced and i do plan to lower the car very soon tire rack recommends 245/30 front and 265/30 rear. Hankook does not sell 265/30 rear. Will I be ok going with 275/30 or 285/30 in the rear? Will I rub if lowered on swift springs? Last edited by BruinE90; 07-27-2014 at 04:38 AM.. |

That really depends on the camber you get from lowering the car on swift springs. You're gonna get a slight stretch in the rear so maybe it'll be enough to keep from rubbing.

i'm currently running swifts with 19x9.5 +22 with 255/35 PSS's in the front and 19x11 +22 with 295/30 PSS's in the rear on my E90.
Granted my widths/offsets are different than yours, I only rub in the rear when I have 3-4 people in the car. However, sometimes when I go over a dip on the interstate, I can hear the rear rub. Other than that, I still love my PSS's and Swifts and dont regret my setup a bit. Last edited by vastano; 07-31-2014 at 08:56 AM.. |
