Challenge/ind Harness Bar....you Trust It?????

Ok So I Totaled My E46 M3 A Few Months Back And Picked Up A E92 M3. For Now I Want To Run A 6pt Schroth Harness For Hpde Days W/ Recaro Pp. So The Question Is Would You Guys Trust The Challenge Harness Bar. My M3's Have Always Had A Rear 4pt Welded In Bar So This Would Be The 1st Time Using A Harness Bar. After Having A Hard Impact In My E46 M3 Safety Is Always A Concern. Thank You For Your Time.

Stupid iPhone app.. I typed out a longer response but it didn't post.

4pt for safety. Harness bar if the car if your dd and you need the back seat.

Btw, If you haven't bought the harness yet, I have a brand new, current year, schroth profi2 for sale.

I plan on having a 4pt welded in but for now I would perfer to wait a few months intil I shake down the car....just want to make sure the harness bar is safe. Car is not a dd amd will have no rear seats

I think the concern is in a roll over you're strapped in upright and if the roof caves in some you run the risk of spinal compression. I've gone back and forth on a harness bar because I like being fixed in the seat for control reasons but until I have a half cage I can't bring myself to forgo the cage due to the above mentioned spinal compression risk.

ya this is one of my concerns....over all it wont be as good as a 4pt...just want to make sure the bar will hold up in a impact....roll over would be worse case but more wall impacts is the concern

Garage List
i would not use it for reason mentioned above. Schroth quick fit or a half cage and real belts.

You totaled the other car so i wouldnt toy around with any harnesses until at least a half cage is put in. Locked into seat with airbags deactivated (side/seat) and possible roll over doesnt sound too good (all reasons mentioned above).
