AA Green Air Filter Installed
Installed my new AA Green filter today and I am very happy with it.
First thing i noticed is that the engine sounds alot better, def. sounds like it can breathe better. Performance wise I could say that the car felt a bit more responsive when i got on the gas. Butt dyno says there is good performance increase. My previous MS air filter was only used about 7K miles and I would say that AA feels much better than the MS did in the beginning. I will def. be getting AA in the future. The construction of the filter was really good as well, fit like a glove installed. No rattles or noise.

Awesome.. I'm deciding between MS and AA right now (not looking for any stage 2 type intake because I want to save for a ESS kit), and I had some AA stuff on my 335i and they were great, high quality parts. So, I think I'm just going to go with this one.

So what is causing the rattling noise with the MS filter? I'm about to jump on the green filter boat, my car makes this funky noise when I'm hard on the throttle at lower RPMs. Didn't have this noise until I put the Akrapovic Evo system on.

That filter is so heavy, your car is probably slower now!

I'm not sure if I'm crazy but I really feel a SOTP difference after changing the filter. Car feels way more responsive. Old dirty POS: New AA Green: OP your filter looks much more.. green than mine? Mod 1 complete... now it's time to go crazy Last edited by dmk08; 08-30-2012 at 03:05 PM.. |

Well, I installed the MS filter. While it wasn't as easy as advertised, I'm glad IND included the bigger adapter at no extra charge. Thank you IND!
I went out for a spirited run afterwards. While I can't feel any noticeable change in sound or power, I feel good knowing that the engine can breathe a little better. The OEM filter was filthy after 12000 miles. I'm glad I took the plunge. It was a relatively cheap 'mod'(if i can call it that). I'll keep the AA air filter in mind for the next one. After all, I'm an equal opportunity consumer.
