Mustang crashes.. White e92 gets away

A friend of mine told me about an accident on the Sprain Brook Pkwy in Westchester. The yellow mustang crashed and the white e92 M3 got away.

"Investigators searched for the white BMW to make sure the vehicle had not been disabled during the Mustang's crash, but the car was not found. Police do not believe the driver of the BMW played any part in causing the crash and are not actively pursuing him."

Random that they would call it a street race yet say that the police are not interested in finding the other driver.

The first thing that came to my mind is " why the hell would a mustang go 3 wide during a race he should know he would lose control".

When you dont know what your car can and cant do you shouldnt be driving it.

And to add a little insult to injury (literally)...."Police issued the man two tickets, one for traveling at an unsafe speed and another for making an unsafe lane change. Both charges are violations."

Probably so that the guy doesn't go into hiding. Either way, I wouldn't be driving my M3 for a while, but someone else (maybe the same type of person street racing on a regular highway) might look at this as a free ticket to just keep driving around.

Guarantee if they spot that car, they will pull him over and question him.

I always think they are trying to hide something when they speak publicly, so they can go ahead and do something totally different later on.

It doesn't seem like they have a plate or anything to identify the M3. The M3 is a very common car here on LI. They can't just start pulling over every white m3

That's a good thing about being AW/FR...but then again, it can be bad too. Some people mistake me for another AW M3 and gave me the bird while coming home from work the other day...WTF?
