For track day cars with solid diff bushes, is this going to be a problem? Will you test with sold diff bushes ?

I had a nightmare with a previous make of carbon shaft and wonder if this was the problem now.

I have stiffer but not solid bushings so I'm curious about this too.

I ran the last driveshaft they made with stiffer powerflex diff bushings and solid subframe ones. Had no issues then and plan to do the same this time whenever it arrives.

Getting mine soon. Ahhhh! Super excited to install it once it gets here. Should I do my clutch as well while I am at it?

I ran my V1 shaft with stock diff bushings for couple years then recently changed to Powerflex purple diff bushings. Nothing abnormal from the shaft. Diff whines slightly but that's normal with firmer diff bushes.

Provided the bushings are new/in good condition, you should be fine with stiffer/solid bushings. The issue we had with the oem bushings was that they were shot, so there was a lot of play.

You don't need to drop the transmission to install the driveshaft, but I guess as you are removing the oem driveshaft, that is one less step for the mechanic.

when installing the CF shaft and replacing the old bolts with new, I take it we need to use the correctly coloured new bolt for our factory balanced diff as mentioned here? https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21451904

Edit: I shoved my phone camera under the car while it was on the ground and saw I have a blue line on my 2011 e92 M3 dct, so will need a black bolt:

I am the mechanic. So trying to kill two birds with one stone since I have to remove the exhaust.

Quick Update

We have shipped out the first 10 sets of MT fitments to customers and are assembling/balancing driveshafts as and when the supply of carbon tubes are received (E92 MT, E92 DCT, 1M, E46 M3, GT86, Supra, Mustang). Unfortunately, due to delays with our partner factory, this is progressing slower than we would like and are still waiting for our 2nd batch of tubes to arrive.

Rest assured that we are trying our best to fulfil all orders as quickly as possible. I should also have an update shortly on the DCT fitment (the tester is taking longer than expected, but as soon as he's finished testing, we'll contact the first 10 DCT buyers regarding shipping)

Thanks!

The GB is long closed, but you can pre-order directly on the website (you will be at the back of the queue though)

I don't think that's the actual order number from Mfactory.

As I recall, the Euro conn ex GB is separate from this official YCW GB. Not sure if it will shipped same time as this GB, or after.

Update

As mentioned previously, we have already shipped out the first 10 units of the MT fitment to customers and I've just confirmed there with the engineer, we will have 10 units of the DCT fitment balanced and ready to ship out to customers as soon as the tester has finished installing/testing the driveshaft.

This has taken longer than expected (2 weeks longer than expected) due to other "modifications" that he was doing that I was unaware of at the time of shipping the driveshaft to him. For that, I sincerely apologise for the delay.

The reason for not being able to complete all of the pre-orders in the 1st batch is because of a manufacturing/alignment error with the tube supplier; we had to disgard over 200 tubes that we received due to balancing issues.

The supplier has assured us that the issues have been sorted out and will not be present on the 2nd batch. Unfortunately, the current ETA that we have been given on the 2nd batch is around 8-10 weeks out. We will then still need to assemble and balance the driveshafts on our end. We are trying to expedite this process (i.e complete the driveshafts as and when the tubes come off the spindle rather than waiting for them all to be completed in one batch)

As for Order Numbers/Queues, we are shipping these out based on when the order was received from you. This means that, if you were part of the Euro conn ex group buy (the 2nd group buy), you are unfortunately at the back of the queue until all of our original pre-orders are fulfilled as those are our priority. If you are part of the 2nd group buy and have any questions or require a refund, please contact Euro conn ex directly and they will address any issues/concerns

Thanks!
