Door Handle stuck open when pulled hard

Hello, on my E92 if I pull the handle a little harder than normal, it sticks in the open position, and I have to push it back in in order to close the door. Anyone have an idea on what I should do to remedy the issue?

remove the door handle and spray the mechanism with motorcycle chain lube.
