Wasn't track or even auto related if that is what you are wondering. Ruptured two discs while lifting weights in my younger days. Was just trying to get at that neck injuries really suck & with restraints being so accessible now do what you can to help protect your neck.

Selling my car. Change in priorities for next year, looking to spend more time with the kids doing fun stuff. I spent a lot of time this past summer working on the car and then going out to do track days without the family. Really enjoyed this thing the past 2 years, such an amazing track car.

Looking for $45k as it sits with all the stuffs, tell your friends. Hopefully find a track rat locally.

I saw your post in the one of the FB groups just now. This is what I wish I could of done had finances allowed it before I bought my E46. Though, in hindsight, didn't save any money LOL.

GLWS. If I was in a better position I'd snag this up and move my E46 on to someone else.

Gonna try and talk to the race shops around here and see if they know someone who's a good fit. Seems lots of guys that get a GT3RS or similar don't want to fully push their expensive car and look for a "cheaper" car to beat on at the track.

The thought of all the work I would need to do to part it out is depressing. And honestly this car is too good to get taken apart, someone needs it as-is.

The one in Australia? I may not have got the best quote, but with shipping costs might as well get a new set.

Besides, when it gets here from Australia it’ll be upside down and won’t work on your car.

Because I made the mistake and it should be corrected -

The "Simpson Hybrid (S)" is the only model certified to work with a 3 point harness/belt
The "Simpson Hybrid Sport" IS NOT certified to work with a 3 point belt

Instructor recommended softening the rear dampers a couple of clicks which helped me get the power down, my sector time instantly improved.

My favorite instructors have been the ones who get in the car, watch a lap or two before even saying anything then point out a couple of areas to work on (i.e. turn in slightly later here, trail brake further to the apex, use more curb here etc.). Its very easy to go into autopilot and not notice area's for improvement, particularly when you are trying to eeke out those extra few seconds.

I'd love to do a Bondurant racing school or Team Oneill Rally school as I know my progression would be so much quicker, one day!

I have done Bondurant and also gotten a private coach. Bondurant's stuff is good if you want to get some fundamentals down and rag on someone else's car, but personal instruction from a coach has been 100x more useful to me.

PM me if you want some details on Bondurant.

Pretty happy with my day at MSR Cresson yesterday. We ran the 1.7 CCW with Edge Addicts. I set a new PB of 1:21.97, which is about a half-second faster than my previous PB. I really wanted to run the PTM in Race mode but the tires felt greasy all day long and I'm unsure why, but they were fairly worn even at the start of the day. I opted to leave it in Sport 1 so I still had a little bit of stability assistance. I was still able to have some fun with it as you can see from the countersteering. :-p

Haven't dug into the data much, but it appeared that I was quicker to get back on the gas in a lot of places (slope of accelerator pedal trace was steeper).

These are both the same session, I'm just too lazy to do an overlay of the videos.

Have you tried exercise and eating less.

My wife keeps wanting to remove 18lbs of ugly fat off my body. I like my head attached to my body so I’ve declined her generous offer.

Hey guys, it just hit me. It is coming up on 2020 and my helmet is a trusty 2010.

I only hit some lower level events like Track Night in America, will I need to get a helmet quick?

Probably not going to be a problem, but manufacturers are recommending replacing helmets every 5 years.

Snell/SA 2020 helmets will be sold October 1st, 2020 at the very earliest. You’ll only have SA 2015 helmets to choose from until then, which may still be in production part way through 2021 so they’re not a bad choice.

Anyone run a Racetech seat? Been planning on staying with my OMP HTE-R - but after putting a 3 hour stint in this weekend in a M240iR that had the same OMP HTE-R I'm rethinking it. I hadn't really noticed that I had a decent amount of upper body movement in that seat until after feeling it for this extended run length. Briefly set in a Racetech and it seemed like it might hold the upper body in place better. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them. Thinking about the RT4100.

does anyone have a brand recommendation for a nice set of sockets and extensions? snap-on is cool and all but you almost have to piece together their sets from what i've seen and its a bajillion dollars. i have a 25 year old craftsman case i've been lugging around for years that my dad let me have and the extensions and crap are just worn out. the extension kept sticking and slipping off when i was putting my plenum on the other day and i had to be super super careful and i still dropped a socket down into the engine.

i'm working on mrs beef to let me buy a bigger tool box and get rid of a wood storage cabinet in the garage and get rid of my cheap harbor freight tool chest too.
