Best Wheels for around 2.5-3K?

Hello All,

I am on a hunt for a new set of wheels and was wondering what you guys feel the best looking wheels would. I am looking for 19s in around the $2500-3000 range. I prefer to have a big lip, but open to super concave wheels as well. Opinions greatly appreciated, thank you!! Some I have been looking at are the Forgestar F14s or ISS Forged FM10Rs (although these are higher in price).

HRE flow form or BBS CH-R. Best wheels you can get at that price point. Alternatively, get the OEM ZCP wheels if you don't have them. Still the best looking wheel for the M3 IMO

+2. I have the BBS CH-R in 19x9 and 19x10.5 and they are BBS quality (very good). Although not the lightest they are very nice. If I had to do it over though I may go with the HRE FF01 Flow forged but they don't seem to have quite the concave design as the CH-R.

I would also put Forgestar up there as well, they seem to make good wheels for the price. Had their lead times been slightly better around the time I ordered I might have got a set.

By 'new' set, do you mean you want to buy brand new, or do you mean you just want to change things up?

You can find very nice/expensive wheels on the used market at the price point you're looking at and they might even come with tires which can save you a good chunk of money up front.

Maybe people can offer more/better recommendations based on this info. Good luck finding what you're looking for!

Either those or stock 219's are the best

I have some killer deals on Work Brombacher at the top end of this pricepoint, definitely something worth looking into if you're after a lip

After being around the forums for a while and having been through a lot of aftermarket wheels myself. I think its always better to just go with the wheels you want the most. For exampe, if the wheels you are really after are $4K. Its just better to wait and get those vice spending less on wheel you don't feel strongly about, eventually selling them, and buying the wheels you really wanted all along down the road. In long run, its cheaper. I have seen this over and over.

That being said, If I were you, I would look at a nice set of used Forged BBS, Volk or HRE... in that order.

Sage advice here. Unfortunately for me, I can't decide what wheels I really want. I'm down to HRE R40s and P40SCs. Too bad they don't make a concave version of the R40s. I'd be all over it.

I had a feeling you'd vote that way. I am very tempted!

HRE R40
Tinted Brushed Clear
18 x 9.5 et 20 w/ Michelin PSS 265/35-18
18 x 10.5 et 26 w/ Michelin PSS 285/35-18

Concerned it would look too "race car" for my 85% DD, 15% track toy. This looks good though:

I think it will look purposeful but not too "race car".... not like a bright green M3 with a huge wing....

I appreciate the vote of confidence. I know Brett would be on board. Gotta get Malek's opinion.

By the way, if I flew military hardware for a living and was a better driver, I'd have no problems rocking a green M3 with a wing on the street. As it is, I push paper and mostly excel at finding and securing primo parking spaces.

Hre flow form and bbs ch are heavy cast wheels. I'd rather get some forged volks.

I picked up some BBS RS-GT's in the used section for $2k with tires...was originally looking at Forgestar F14 SDC's, but didn't want to order and wait 2 months to get them. Pics:
