One time when I was stopped at an intersection (with a Benz dealership right at the corner of the intersection), two guys dressed in suits walked up to me and asked me to put my windows down cuz they wanted to ask me about the car. So I did and I chatted with them until the light turned green. As I was getting ready to take off, they told me that they were sales agents at the Merc dealership "over there" and they were jealous that BMW created such an awesome car.

I also want to know how much acknowledgment will the car get. I got a lot when I was driving the 987S but only quite a few when I replaced it with the E92 335i (especially when I work near the BMW Financial Services HQ).

I spoke too soon in my last post.
As I was walking out of Qdoba today with my Black Bean, Steak Burrito with Hot Sauce, light cheese and sour cream, there was a group of guys and girls stopped on the side walk staring/gawking/talking/gazing at my ride. As I slowly but confidently walked toward my car, I glanced out of the corner of my eye ever so subtlety and I could tell they we're pondering whether It was, in fact my car. As I touched the door handle and the door-lock released I looked up, square in the group of say 5, or 6 and one of the guys shook his head up and down almost seeming to be in slow motion and mouthed "nice car!" I gave a quick nod, smiled and mouthed "thanks." Getting the thumbs-up is always a cool thing in a new car

I drove by my nearest BMW dealership the other day accellerating away from a traffic light at medium RPMs, but as I drove by my Sig-O said three guys in the parking lot of the dealership stopped looking at the new BMW in the lot and watched me drive by. She said all three guys just locked onto my car and followed it until I was out of sight.

I get looks and stares on a daily basis, haters lovers....all kinds. But it never fails to draw attention.
Yesterday at 2.30am pulling out of a lot right infront of a club (I was at another lounge down the street). I come up on the street next to the front door of the club and get stormed by 15 people yelling "your car is fu*** gorgeous!!" over and over. Then this one drunk chick follows up with....."if it was in red!!" Then another one yells..."nope....shoulda gotten an m5" sigh, I stared, smiled a bit...shrugged my shoulders and drove off

oh, I also got challenged and completely smoked by this turbo'd S4 with every mod under the sun. That was embarassing. The guy wouldn't stop complementing my car though with thumbs up and saying it looked "wicked."

I get so much stares from everywhere! I knew the M3 was HOT but not this much.
It's weird to get stared at by some guys in their Porsches...

For some reason I get the opposite effect, for the most part. I find that girls note that it's a BMW, but they usually don't know the difference, for example, between an M3 and a 7-series. I could be driving an e92 328i and they'd see it as the exact same car. Weird.

I find this hilarious, I guess most people don't expect to see me getting in a BMW so they seem surprised when the see I'm the owner of the brand new M3 haha... I guess I don't look like the "typical BMW owner" whatever that is supposed to look like

oh, and also, long time ago, when i was tinting my windows and doing Clear bra. theres a customer at the shop saw my car and asked the following Customer - "Yo, is that ur ride out there?" Me- " yeah" Customer - " it looks awesome, is that a 745i ?" Me- "............"

This thread is great, love the stories!
So far just one long talk with a guy when i was filling up at the pump. I've had it for only two weeks now though and my 10 minute commute doesn't do the car justice. Weekends are a different story though, lots of stares! |
