pic request: 18" E92 M3 Factory Wheels
Does anyone have any good pics of the wheels that come standard on the new M? I did not get the 19s and im interested in seeing what these look like in some good pictures! Thanks!

^The last pic shows the European spec 18" wheels, the US spec 18" wheels are slightly different.

The European 18" wheel is Style 260M. If you look at each spoke you will notice that they are the same width from hub all the way to the rim. The North American 18" wheel is Style 219M. Note that on this wheel the spoke starts out thin and "pointy" at the hub but gets progressively wider and flatter at the rim. From a distance 260M looks airier while 219M looks bulkier and less airy
I hope this gibberish was understandable!

Also, more solid metal around the hub just past the lug nuts on the euro. Makes it look like more mass in the middle.
Great comparison pics South. Thanks |

The question I have is: Why did BMW bother to have two very similar wheels?

saw the 18's on a MR coupe this weekend. they look very good. they are dark gray in color despite the brochure referring to "satin". bet they would look great on sparkling graphite or sgray.
