Any chance you are going to IA this year?

Also, is there any local tire shop in the Greenville/Spartanburg area that you would recommend? (I'm trying to get tires put on a pair of wheels i bought and also wanting to take the tpms off my oem wheels and put them on the other wheels) I was planning to go to firestone since its something that should be simple, but am wondering if you know somewhere else.

Sorry for the late reply, been out sick with the flu.
For my tire needs, I usually just go to Discount Tire on Wade Hampton. I always take the wheels off and leave the car on jack stands and only bring them the wheels+tires. Just minimizes the risk of damages to the car itself.

My buddy actually picked up some new gear, so hopefully when I have to time to repair the lip and put it back on, we'll go take some new shots!

In the meantime, I'll throw some cell phone pics of my E36 up after a much needed wash. Been a great DD while the E92 chills in the garage:



Once I get the F80, I can retire the E36 and deal with all the cosmetics (trims and rubber pieces) that I've been wanting to do for a while.

Oh yea def, but all done by the previous owner though. Car is on Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, has new/uprated bushings all over the place and handles like it's on rails. This was honestly one of the huge reasons that made me skip the M2. If I wanted something fun and nimble, I already had one in the garage. No engine mods or exhaust though (no interest in changing anything there either).

I definitely wouldn't say it's immaculate, but pretty damn clean. People don't realize this one has 134k miles on it. It's definitely not a museum piece and I use the car all the damn time. Been parked outside for 2 years and only been detailed once, which was when I just got it

Haha, I'll keep that in mind if I do! Doubtful for now though, I really enjoy this car. I think I have had 8 people ask me to sell the E36 to them, it's crazy. I'm assuming it's because of the color?

Pulled the E92 out of the garage for the first time since October I think. 2nd throttle valve actuator went out at 89k miles, and I'm just now getting to it. LHS rear tire was almost completely flat.

Next to the new to me Z4MR (last addition, I promise )


Absolute work of art this thing, I forgot how amazing this engine sounds. The engine bay is absolutely filthy though, so I went ahead and cleaned the air filter while I was at it. I'll also have to do the yearly oil change soon, even though I think I only put 1000 miles on the car in 2016 (airbag recall and TVA). Belts are also looking tired:

Nice addition to the M3! I missed you adding the Z4M. I've been thinking of adding an E46M instead of trying to replace the e92...that was a big mistake last time. I can't even bring myself to give up the e92 for any of the newer M cars. Live and learn. I hope you get her healthy soon, nice weather is right around the corner.

Thank you! That was indeed me haha. The side skirt extenders were a pain just because I would almost step on it everytime I got out of the car. I also have the MC lip sitting in the garage. It got damaged and just have been too lazy to repair it and reinstalled. The car does look very naked without that lip! The lip will go back on the car eventually, just focusing on trying to maintain 3 M cars right now, which takes up so much time haha.

I've only had the Z about 2 weeks. I also thought about adding an E46 M3 convertible, but I thought a Roadster would be better for me just because it would be a completely different driving experience. I did most of Inspection II on the car minus valve adjust (going to do that at the same time as VANOS bulletproofing) and it did wonders to the car. I've been thoroughly enjoying it as it's been a high of 60-70F this entire week! The poor E36 has been parked outside for 2 weeks an undriven.

Like you though, I would definitely not replace the E92 M3. As much fun as the Z4MR is, the E92 is still my favorite. And I would definitely not consider replacing it with any new M cars, M2 included.

I think an E46 and E92 M3 combo would be awesome though! That S54 is a fun engine!!

Finally got my E92 running after 8 months out of action, so it was time for a family picture! When I parked it, I thought it was going to be maybe 4 weeks, but between being too busy and not being able to figure why the CEL stayed on, it just took far too long


After taking it out for a ride yesterday to get rid of the old gas and getting rid of the flat spots, I can still say the E92 is still my absolute favorite car. You forget just how perfect the S65 sounds.

Hi there! You really should, because I've only seen a handful in person, yet alone one with Bamboo Beige. It's funny you revived this thread because I took the car out a few times last week and I'm still absolutely in love with it. Car just reached 91k miles and is still doing great, minus a few interior rattles. I still need to reinstall the Mode Carbon lip which has been sitting in the corner of the garage, but otherwise, no new updates. I'm due for some Michelin PS4S though!

I don't drive the car as much as I used to since I have a company car now, but this one is not going anywhere.
