Currently running forgestar f14 SDC 19x11 in the rear and 19x10 in the front. Also lowered on h&r race springs.

Can I fit 255/35/19 in the front without rubbing? From my understanding federals run 10 mm wider so I'd actually be running more like 265/35/19 in the front.

What suspension? What offset are those wheels?

The OEM ZCP wheels are 19x9 and 19x10 and can safely run those tire sizes (even on "wide for their size" tires). Those wheel widths could easily handle more tire.

Whoops forgot to mention that. I'm on h&r race springs, no spacers. Not entirely sure on offset as the wheels came on the car when I bought it

Ouch, that will make things difficult. What tires are on the car now? (model and size)

I guess you could turn the wheel to full-lock and see how much room there is, and make an educated guess. Otherwise, just get the same size tire you already have.

I assume this is just for DD duties and not track use?

Currently I have 275/30/19 in the front and 295/30/19 on Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires. I have a good friend who gets wholesale pricing on federals and runs him on his m3 and loves it so I wanted to try it since the weather is dry in SoCal lol. Full set for $400 can't pass it up but wanna make sure I don't rub the fronts hard. My fender liners are already kinda destroyed so I might just cut them out.

Most likely. That's a VERY tall tire. A 265/30 front would be far better.

Unfortunately 265/30/19 does not exist for the tire I'm looking at.

Super loud tires, definitely don't recommend for a street driven car unless you can put up with them.

Not sure what else you are looking for -- you still haven't provided the offset on those wheels (which you could get in 10 minutes by jacking up the car and removing one), and others have already posted that the tire is way taller than stock.

I understand that you can get them cheap but they aren't going to fit. Have your friend's shop do a test mount if you think we're all wrong.

Lol what? I haven't gotten a clear answer from anyone. I'm bumping to see if anyone has actually ran the rsrr in that size up front.

Did I get that correct, you want to change from a 275/30/19 Hankook Ventus on a 10x19 to a 255/35/19 Federal RS-R?

As mentioned, the Federal will have a stiffer side-wall and also would be quite wide for a 255.

The height compared to the width is 82.5 for the Hankook (275 * 0.30), and somewhere between 89.25 (255 * 0.35) and 92.75 (265 * 0.35).

Depending on how low the car is with your H&R springs, how your alignment etc. will be and last but not least what offset the rims have, this could be a tough one. Would go for a test-fit as well. Unless the offset is known, it will be very tough to find a baseline with and compare to others running a 255/35 or 265/35.

I don't mind a bit of rubbing so we'll see. I think I'll just try them out. Unfortunately since I'm getting them wholesale I'll have to buy a full set so I can't test fit and if they don't fit return. My fender liners are already pretty shot anyways so that's not a huge issue to mee

At this price, I think you can even sell them afterwards if rubbing is too bad. Only "loss" could be mounting etc. - but maybe for the test fit you can avoid having them balanced.

If not a drift tire why are you cheaping out on the only thing that connects the performance benchmark from 2008 to 2013 to the road?

Honestly, it is like a thread for people who want to fill their M3s with 87 octane only.

Cheaping out? Lol Federal tires are great tires for autoX and spirited driving. You're misinformed if you think these are just drift tires. If you can re-read my original post, all I want is information if I'd rub or not. I could care less about opinions on these tires. I know plenty of e9x M3 owners that have ran these tires on the street and autoX for 10-15k miles with great results and opinions other than the tires being a bit loud which isn't a huge inconvenience.

Federal, Achilles, Falken, Kumho all do some sort of job for drifting, autox, etc. and they are all cheap which is why track rats and drift guys buy them up.

None of them compare to the performance of a Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, etc.

I will say no ones butt dyno on this forum can tell the difference in performance figures, but even an enthusiast can tell a difference between a Federal and a Michelin PSS on a car.

The Federal RS595R and RR are more a Semi-Slick for dedicated track / sport-use, rather than a UHP tyre - yes. However, I have driven the Federal RS595R on a Z3 Coupe (225/40/18 on a 8.5x18 BBS), and it performed astonishingly well.

At the same time, the Kumho PS91 (see seperate thread & my post there) are a good fit for the M3. They offered similar performance as my Dunlops - at a way cheaper price.

Tyre choice often comes down to personal preference, and I agree, especially Michelin offers a very good UHP & and all around option with the PS4S. But if you want to try others, have a little spice in your drive and are not afraid of a wrong / not so good choice, why not give the Federal or Kumho - which both have received good reviews - a try. Especially at the rate the codinge90 was offered
