Buying used M3 - 2 Speakers Out - Need Advice

I am so excited to get my BMW and I was about to pull the trigger on one that I loved and join the family. Then I find out, that 2 of the speakers don't work at all.

This is the Individual Audio System and the right front tweeter and the left door mid speaker both dont work on a 2011 E90 M3. I love music so its really important that i have an awesome sound system.

I dont mind buying new speakers and installing them but I am scared that this might be amp related. He did say that he will buy the car back from me if its amp related. Do you guys think its amp or speaker related

I don't have personal experience with this, but there are many on this forum who have had amp issues and it's a very straightforward process to resolve with many used ones scattered around the internet. If it's the speaker, that shouldn't be a difficult change either.

Bimmertech plug and play amp and Bavsound speakers are your best bet.

Impossible to tell simply by saying 'they don't work', but easy to test.

Bimmertech doesn't have an option for individual audio. Only base and hi fi systems.

Thanks for the feedback.

My plan is to switch the left and right tweeters to see if its speaker related.

Lets say that doesnt work, what are my options to test whether the amp is the problem without getting a new amp?

If you rule out the speakers themselves, you need to rule out the wiring next, then the amp.

If you have a multimeter and access to the factory service manual, this should be straightforward, but probably very time-intensive since you'll be disassembling the interior.
