Question about BMW OC tracking

Dealers in Texas are closed on Sunday. The OC website changed the indication this evening that the my M3 was "at your BMW Center." From your experience does this happen only after the vehicle arrives?

Being that the dealer was closed today, with bars across their driveway, I would be surprised if the vehicle was delivered when they were open on Saturday and didn't let me that it had finally arrived. Bummer if it is just arriving tomorrow as work will make delivery difficult except for tomorrow morning, and if it is just arriving it still will have to go through the PDI. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

The OC information lags 1-2 days so probably your car arrived either yesterday or Friday. Enjoy your new car... The dealer has to get the plates and regisration so they need couple days on it.

That would be great news, hope you are right that would mean PDI could be done. My friend is one of the managers so I would be surprised he wouldn't have let me know.

Fortunately in Texas they just give you paper plates, until your plates come in a couple of weeks later.

Thats great, so it would be out of the dealer sooner. btw i believe the dealer also has to "prepare" the car such as installation of CD changer and some minor stuff. but if the manager is your friend, tell him to get it to you.

my car was on the boat on Thursday, dealer learnt it Friday morning, OC updated to "en route" on Sunday.

Thanks for the reply. I texted him this am he confirmed it had gotten there and could be ready by the afternoon, just about when I go into work, so it will have to be tomorrow. I'll have to ask him when it had actually arrived.

When I checked the OC last Thursday my car showed to still be at the prep center which was news to me since I took delivery almost a week before.

Phone was not working properly for me. My car was completed on 15th, however that day according to the phone, my car entered to the body shop and and later on the 17th got to paint (or somethign like that) and production completed on 23rd... (my car was on the boat on 22nd).
My sales rep was shocked when he also listened to this automated system but sometimes it f*cks up big time.
You are paying boat load to the dealer, you get the right to call them on a daily bases for updates

they can track daily progress
