Dialed in:Performance Technic/IND/AP Racing/Exclusivs “Never Finished” Journal

“Art is never finished, only abandoned.”

Amazing efforts by all who made these final pieces come together. Major thank you to Jeff @ Essex AP Racing! The entire IND team who helped(s) source endless parts from beginning to end (what end?). Finally Joe & the entire Performance Technic crew who did a meticulous job fitting all parts and getting "dialed in!" With true racing pedigree, knowledge and experience their effort putting the car together continues to amaze.

Will post updates to thread as time goes on

Brakes:

AP Racing

Nice! So the part out wasn’t to really sell but to buy more parts? Good stuff!

Unsure what "part out" you are referring. Possibly a slim down with possibility of a new car on the horizon. Plans changed, and realized it was GT3 or bust.

With a solid blue print mapped out, final parts in hand off to California it was. Intercity took phenomenal care of the car's transport on the road up to Performance Technic.

Sorry, part out wasn't the right term but I understand now. Glad to see you're keeping it and building it back up. I'll have to text you some updates on my end when I'm done too.

That is one serious pile of goodies! I'm glad we could be part of this first-class build. I have a feeling that this one's going to turn into a dream build for anyone who has ever liked the e92 chassis!

Nice part list, maybe I'll drop by p tech to check it out haha.

Curious why you decided to get AP Racing when you already have Brembo's? From what I understand, the performance increase is small right?

Performance increase? I'm interested to see some data that supports this. If anything, there maybe weight savings involved with the AP Racing calipers and/or the Essex rotors. Other than that, I don't see how there could be a performance gain over the Brembo kit.

Fun fact: AP Racing is owned by Brembo.

Awesome build btw OP! I'm gonna stop by PTech to check it out

Just going by what I've read and heard other people saying bro. You know I don't have experience with either one

"Performance" increase would be extremely hard to gather data on. So many variables when comes to brakes. In short, I can tell you the change was to reduce weight, and give a try to another offering to the car preparing for more focused future.

Exactly. True data would simply be way too hard to gather. I appreciate the kind words. Hopefully I'll be able to take a few trips up in the coming months.
