295/30/19 isn't necessarily a no-brainer fit. Mine rubbed under hard cornering (on the street). I have JRZ RS2 coils and am lowered to about ZCP height, -2.1* camber. Tire was the R888R on a 19x11 et25 wheel and it rubbed on the inside lip of the fender.

yea, i should clarify, i'm on oem zcp suspension with camber plates. no issues with rubbing. i also pack the car full of track tools, four tires, my wife, and an 80lb dog without issues.

i've only been to BW once. for the track, i use arc-8 18x10.5's with 275/35 nt01's.
i was still learning the track when i started having electrical problems due to trying a lightweight battery that the car didn't like. the car would hiccup and upshift to 7th and power was reduced in some instances, and other times, the car wouldn't start like it didn't even have a battery. that said, i managed a sorry 2:04:xxx. i haven't gone back yet, because i'm a fairweather tracker and won't go when its too hot. the drive also sucks.

the battery worked fine for three days... i think the way the car manages electronics at full throttle had an effect on the battery. it was the antigravity rs-20 battery, which has a battery "sleep" type of management system. i think when the m3 was doing its alternator management at wide open throttle, the car's ecu and the battery's separate management system just wasn't compatible. it was frustrating because the car was completely dead like there wasn't a battery in it. fortunately, i was able to unlock the door with the valet key and crawl into the trunk (no rear seats) and pull the kidnap lever. other members are using the rs-30 battery without incident. i moved on to the voltphreaks vph900. zero issues.

And of course work next to Disney I trailer race cars there about 20 times a year so it's a Sunday drive for me lol I say that cuz we do laguna and thunder hill and spring mountain Every time I have to trailer to laguna or further it makes that button willow drive look like nothing lol It gonna be 75-80 at button willow next weekend so I'm gonna do the speed sf drive on sat and support our GTR Sunday If you do go to laguna, what's the decimal? |

i'm at 96db with my afe high flow cat xpipe with resonators and vorsteiner type 1 titanium exhaust. i went on a 105db day and asked for a sound check with my "loud setup."
i swap my oem rear muffler for laguna and i'm not sure where it's at, but i don't have to lift. the bw drive isn't that bad, but i'm tired as hell driving back and it just sucks. i don't want to sleep with bedbugs at some bw motel and have tweakers eyeballing my shit all night. my wife's parents live up near sacramento and we went to sonoma one weekend, and laguna the next weekend. that was a great trip. i'd love to do another trip and go to thunderhill and then sonoma. part of the problem with my weekends being tied up is i work around 55-60 hours a week and i manage rentals as well... in my spare time i have to get to that property and market/show it to find prospective tenants. this is on top of another renovation and signing new tenants. the good thing is, i blink and another month went by. lol i guess what i'm trying to say, is if i tried to squeeze in a track day, i'd get the, "we don't ever get to see each other..." talk from the wife.

Jeez hotels near BW are that bad huh, scaring me off from going. Really no good ones? Guess I'd have to find something decent on the way there

i've never stayed at one. my wife likes to come to the track and i know she wouldn't dig it and we'd just have to drive home anyways. i'd rather just bring a tent and camp in the paddock, but i don't think they allow that at bw.

They do allow camping. In fact, last Saturday, the guys in the garage next to me had setup air mattresses in their garage and slept there (with their wives too!). |
