E90 M3 South African pricing out ...
ok ... have not seen a post in this regard ... the car costs .... R634 000 base ... add a lil more for the sunroof which is an option, so it is closely priced to the coupe ... thought it wud be a lot cheaper ...

According to what i have read in newspaper driving with a M3 in south africa is best way to die. is it true ? a famous singer as been shot dead recently ? car jacking is a growing issue in SA.

There are hundreds of ways to die, in SA or the US and in SA dying in a carjacking is certainly not the most common way to go. South Africa does have a high crime rate, but does not stop people from driving nice cars and having fun in them. Just yesterday I had a 'breakfast run' to the picturesque Cape Point with a bunch of E30 BMWs, 325i, 325iS and 333i's (the E30 BMW being one of the more popular hijack vehicles) and we had a ball. No hassles, no worries. People blow things out of proportion. |

Media hysteria makes South Africa sound like Columbia or Zimbabwe. I'm not denying the problems here, what I'm saying is, it makes it sound worse than it is. All I don't want to see happen is people from the US reading this forum to get the wrong impression and miss out on SA's beauty and fun because of one post, that's why I responded. "driving an M3 is the best way to die" - just not true We could go on about this for hours and this thread is about M3 pricing, so I'll drop it for now. |
