Her cars are always driven year round. We looked at both the Audi S5 & Mercedes E550 Cab but the issue is that they are both soft tops which is a no go because her car is outside all winter. The M stays in the garage along with all the track wheels and my bike,so no room for her car!

on the other hand, there wont be another m3 until at least 2 years into the new F series 3er... so that means we wont see a new m3 until 2014 or so... doesnt make me feel that shitty if you ask me.
There will not be a new cab till the 2014 model year.

My wife had a 95 Mustang convertible and I traded it for a Mercedes C320. She alway miss her convertible. Maybe 335is is a good choice. What is your comment of Boxster Spyder?

I am not really a fan of the Boxster, because the 911 is not really that much more money and so much more car.Besides most of the people that I see driving 911 cabs are good looking women

There is no listing price for 335is. How much is a 335is?

Not to mention that 335is is getting close, price wise, to a stripper M3 sedan. I believe C&D actually said anyone looking at a 335is coupe should just spend a little more for a M3 sedan.
+1 stripper M3 Sedan

There is no pricing for it in Canada as of yet.I dont think that I have known the price of our last 4 BMW's when they have been ordered.Hopefully this one will cheaper than I thought like my M3 was when it arrived in 2008.Besides its the wifes car

I'm "pissed" BMW didn't make the M3 to be more superior, not the 335is to be less powerful

Here's an article from BMWBlog discussing this very same thing. - http://www.bmwblog.com/2010/01/25/in...335is-dilemma/

"The M3 has an LSD and a naturally aspirated engine and may be better suited for track days than touring, while the fat, flat torque curve of the 335is is ideal for mountain roads and two lane highways. I imagine it all gets down to what you want to use it for."

So basically, the 335is is a more awesome daily driver. Great.

The N54 paired with the M-DCT is going to be a monster. If you throw in a Diffsonline salisbury clutch-type LSD into the mix, it can be deadly

However, at the end of the day, I still prefer the intoxicating sound of the M3. (I went through 335xi's already.)

I actually been driving my buddies 335i E92

and honestly I don't feel it comes anywhere close to my M3. The M3 has a way better chassis and overall performance is balanced. Yes the 335i with some simple mods can be really fast but at the end of the day.

My M3 will shine like never before

335is is a very nice car. I would get the 335is if I didn't have enough money for an M3. Which is prob exactly what BMW wanted. For a FR coupe around the 45k to 75k price range, bmw has capture this segment imo.

I agree completely. Never understood the M3 cab, especially when it comes to the 335 vs. M3 cab. See below.

I can assure you Mr.5 has NO M3 envy. His car is a beast and has the M3 suspension arms/bushings, KW V3's with custom springs and an LSD.

That's very true. I own both and feel the 335 is better for daily driving from an engine point... except when it's wet outside. Then the 335 is constantly spinning the tires with all it's torque down low.

The 335Is is not an M3 and will not match the M3s performance however not every 335 owner would prefer an M3. I will not elaborate but you can take my word for it. If you think that everyone is driving the most expensive car that they can afford you are very naive and obviously don't know anyone who has real money. Being able to come up with (or barely come up with) the payment for an M3 does not exactly put you in the financial stratusphere.

I find the attitude that the only reason that someone buys a 335 instead of an M3 (or for that matter a 328 instead of a 335) is because they can't afford one amusing. The only people who would make such a statement are people who can barely afford an M3 or people who can't afford an M3 and bought one anyway and are one payment away from having it repossesed.

Is it going to be M-DCT or just DCT?

1. Def. don't feel bad. I'd still take the M hands down. Unless I'm missing something, this is *just* a factory tuned 335i. I'm sure its great, but I don't see any reason why this model in particular should cause someone who wants/has the M3 to think twice.

Put differently, if you're thinking twice because this car has led angels, you're in a different demographic.

2. My god that AutoSpies video was horrible.

Do you have a link to the vid??

There is even a button that allows 7 seconds of 375 ft/lbs of torque when you want it... awesome new headlights and interior finishes.

I feel these "special" items should be reserved for those that are paying top dollar for the M cars, and I fully intend to write BMW NA (the president of North American sales, perhaps) and let them know I am not happy. I have purchased 12 or 13 BMW's going back through the years and for the first time I feel like I am on the shitty end of the stick here.

Am I the only one feeling like this?
