CAS or starter?

Recently bought a 09 M3. Started up perfectly every time but the temp recent dipped and now I’m having starting problems. Pulled some codes. Does anybody have any experience with these codes? Starter or CAS?

TIA

Very likely the CAS.

Agreed. It's the CAS. There is a rebuilder that can refurb the module. It's fairly easy to get to. The module is located on the driver side kick panel.

CAS 100%. Starting to see many failures on e8x and e9x as the cars age. New ones have been on backorder from BMW.

I disagree with above. This is starter problem. I had similar codes before and once I replaced the starter, it fires up every single time now.

Thank you all for the response. I know this is an known issue for these cars. I will take a look at the ground strap later also.

Terminal 50 is a starter solenoid issue.

test starter.

easy stuff is checking the ground behind the glove box fuse box.
