Modding my 1/18 Kyosho e92 M3

ebayed some gunmetal TE37's and wing that was for a 1/18 Lambo but looks like the Vorsteiner GTS wing blade



Apparently the wheels just pull straight off with a little controlled force on many Kyosho models. Painted the calipers, applied decals but unfortunately the new wheel mounts were incompatible so I had to cut it and glue it to the rotating cylinder on the car. Wheels wont spin however because the calipers are too big and rub (just like I experienced in real life LOL)



Painted the wing and mounted it to the stock "GTS" stands..panel lined the whole thing and letting her dry for a day or two



I would love to add some LED's next but i'm not smart enough to do that yet.. unless someone can share what to buy and how to open her up? I'm going to build a Varis diffuser and some tiny canards using Styrene sheets too.

Nice! I have a Kyosho WRX somewhere around the house. Was thinking of converting it to an E92 M3. Where'd you get your body shell from and specs?

Very cool Mike! I wish the E90M was easier to come by. Wanted to do a little project a few times but always get stymied by how hard to come by they are.

It's the newer "limited" 1/18 scale Kyosho diecast of the M3 GTS...a full diecast car not just a shell

I saw this back in 2010..he posted it somewhere here too.. my jaw hit the ground..and by todays standards what he did is still very advanced..

Need to tweak it to look more like mine. Might start airbrushing it once i practice on other models.
