How many miles were you able to get on your stock tires?

Just curious. I was able to do about 24,xxx on my stock Michelins before they went bald. I'm trying to figure out if this is normal or bad?

is it ok to just change the back tires when the fronts may only have another couple thousand miles on them?

You do not need to buy from dealer. If someone has a lease I believe when you turn it in you need go have original brand on. Maybe someone has better input.

I've returned a lease with different brand/non-rft and not had an issue.

I usually get between 6-8k on my rear tires. Not sure why.

I only got 14,000 on my first set, but I did two track days with them. Second set already has 17,000 miles on them, with plenty of tread left.

I'm about 500 miles away from 30k and my rears are near slicks. The fronts are right on the wear bars. Hopefully I'll get my new set on next week.

Not exactly, although I ran about 15 hot laps on GP track at Nurburgring a few weeks back...that put a nice melt on the tires

I totally forgot about this thread. Looks like I got more mileage than most! I'm happy I got as much as I could out of these PS2s! Thanks for the input guys.

Talk about good camber

7600 out of the OE set of rears. They were a little dry-rotted and stone-hard from sitting on a dealer's lot for 18 months, and I was a little excited about having an M3. The fronts will probably make it to 18k or so, which is probably about when my 275/40-18 rears will be done. I'm at 10k now on the fronts and still have lots of tread before the wear bars.
