I absolutely love the 997 design especially the new 997.2 GT3 design second only to the 993, which was arguably the best looking 911 ever. It has the classic round lights.
However, damn 996 has to be the most ugliest looking 911 EVER. Horrible front lights. Porsche really messed up on the design and it looks so terribly dated. M3 looks so much better. Last edited by 330CIZHP; 08-09-2009 at 01:12 AM.. |

Nice pics - thanks for sharing
Having owned a 996 Turbo before the M3 I must admit I became quite nostalgic. Sure the M3 is one hell of a car and especially excellent value looking at the HP per Dollar or Euro spent. Had mine for one year now and driven 25.000 fantastic kms in it. Great every-day-driver, sporty yet practical when it has to. On driving and handling I must honestly say the 996 TT beats the M3 - steering and the whole car and engine is more communicative, the feeling of the road under your ass...

Alright fellas. Sorry for the delay. More media is trickling in now. Will have a couple more videos and moving pics.
I would put all sorts of words to the sound of the Kreissieg exhaust here, but I'll let it talk for itself. Only problem is I can't drive behind one everyday. |

Some more videos and pics.
Got up to some very "elevated" speeds on these runs. On the first one, I was on the phone via bluetooth with the other person at the shooting location and could hear my car coming as the sound was being picked up by the phone. Was pretty funny. The intake noise alone is damn cool when you hear it coming. |
