Will have to do mine sometime this month or so..
Btw. what track event do you go? I used speedventures but since I moved, I need to find another source. Thanks!

I asked if they could take pictures but they tossed the bearings into a plastic bag and handed it to me lol!

I've booked a rod bearing job at The Speed Syndicate.

They've done quite a few RB replacements, and recommend the BE bearings with OEM bolts.

Total quote for parts (all the add-on parts except for motor mounts) and labour is sub $3K.

Use the BE bolt as well. The oem bolts requires multiple torque sequence

Get the motor mounts done while you're at it.

That's the plan. Just can't decide if I want OEM or Vibra Technics Street.

I went with Vibra Tech street. The car felt more solid and shifting was smoother. No added vibration or noise.

Where did you order your Vibra Tech mounts from?

Had my bearings done at VCM in Victoria last week. 56,100 km which included 20 track days. Replaced with BE Bearings and their bolt kit. My motor mounts were also worn out so replaced with oem's.

Bump for this thread.

Any updates after the rod bearings were completed?

Looking to perform rod bearings sometime this year with one of the vendors in Vancouver.

Spec: 2009 e90 M3 with 120,000km

No motor issues, I believe I had an issue with them not torquing down the steering rack box to the subframe properly but that could have been someone else.

I went to Racing Greed. I also have an 2009 E90.

CG Motorsports adjusted their pricing after I told Chris about how much I paid to get it done at RG. Before they were charging a lot more than $3K

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. The shops I read a lot about are The Speed Syndicate and Racing Greed, but it is nice to know that other shops are willing to perform the job.
