The big change came with "2011.5" which is 09/2010 and later build date 2011 models (note the 2011 model year started with 03/2010 production). The 2011.75 update just added BMW apps to the system -- so nothing worthwhile really.

For anyone remotely interested, I am likely going to be selling/trading my car 2011.75 Melbourne Red E92 ZCP M3 6sp in the next two months. It's prepped fully for FS (Dinan FSB, Megan Racing exhaust -- stock still in hand) with the appropriate FSB, new this year front EDC struts, IMO better than OEM Bilstein EDC rear units which all works as intended, two sets of legal 18" Apex wheels (18x9F/18x10), a set of dedicated snows, and a pair of additional fronts with two sets of competition tires (full set of fresh RE71R 275's, pair of 285/30-18 fronts install on front wheels, a pair of Yokohama A052 295/30-18 rears, a set of 255/35-18 Conti Extremes as wets) all very fresh. While this is not the forum for selling cars, I maintain my car constantly and have a oil change sitting on the shelf. I do not have the ZCP wheels. It has 97,000 miles but is babied at cold start startup which is the biggest cause of issues with bearings. I change oil every 5,000-7500 miles. Actuators replaced last year. For the record, I've loved my M3 and it has nothing to do with it having any issues. I am just ready for a new chapter in my life. LMK if you have interest before I pull the trigger on the next ride.

^Clark, what's next?
After this last weekend's event my car has developed a pronounced creak/groan somewhere in the suspension. Sounds like a rubber bushing without enough lube, or a spring creaking. Occurs when entering/leaving the driveway, and on the street in low speed braking/turning, potentially coming from the front-left area. Also noticed it when straightening the wheel while stopped once (caster jacking unloading). I assume it's the sway bar bushing (Dinan FSB), but between now and when I can take a closer look, I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. Any advice on a spray type lube (silicon spray?) that will penetrate and stay well, without having to take the FSB mounts off? |

I'm not Clark, but I have noticed him being pretty active on the Civic forum recently.

Lube yo bush
I get that when my bar Bush is dry when both wheels are moving in concert over a speed bump etc - then I know it’s time to put some lube on that Bush! Been a long while since it needed it. I’ve had ok success with just hosing it down with white lightning or equivalent bike chain lube in a pinch Yours doesn’t have Zerks? |

Also, the M3 is out of production! CTR wins by default! Let us compare: People make fun of you for having one? Check 245 section width front tires? Check Foreign? Check Can only be sold because its maker is printing money selling SUV's it produces in USA? CHECK Comfy enough? Check Handles great from the factory? Check Fits four people and their crap? Check Has red seats? Check* Has PERFORMANCE PEDIGREE?! Check Has four or more doors? Check** Loud, current version sounds like butt? Check Enthusiasts love to talk about how great their old version was? Check Competitive in SCCA street-class autox? Check Understeers unless you mess with it? Check Limited Slip Differential? Check SPORT MODE? Check Manual trans? Check*** Pricey for no apparent reason? That's a big check * Standard on CTR, CTR technically wins this one ** 5 doors vs. 4, max, on M3's you can't even buy new now, CTR wins *** Standard on CTR, automatic available on M3 should technically disqualify the car entirely, but I'll allow it to compete so that it's sporting The only difference I see is how fast you hit the tree when you floor it and the driven wheels. FWD cars can be super fun. Don't h8, participate (with your eyes closed)

M3 is primarily a luxury sedan upgraded to be a relatively unassuming, RWD sports car that retains its luxury and is a jack of all trades. The Civic (which is great!) is not really in the same spirit as the M3 as it's an upgraded economy sedan that is not in any way shape or form unassuming or subtle, or very luxurious aside from tech features. That was more my point, but I think it's fair to cross-shop both of them as they're two different ways of achieving the same thing

The 316i is not a luxury sedan
also nobody cares what coupe owners think they are missing half their wits from banging their heads trying to get into a rear seat they could easily have just accessed with actual doors had they been smarter I'M JOKING AROUND

If you think BMW tax is bad, buy a Porsche.
I'd say the M2 is a better comparison to the CTR. Both based on economy cars and both way overrated. |

Alright, let's all remember that tone is hard to convey over text...
The M3 is better because we own it and we need to feel better about our purchase, mmkay? What do we think CTR depreciation is going to look like after 4 years compared to E9X depreciation + maintenance? |

The CTR holds ridiculously to its resale values with 2017 cars which sold for $35k new selling with 20k miles in the $32-33k range. The maintenance costs are minimal based on what I've seen, and the repairs for the first three years will be covered under warranty. Will a CTR be as good to drive as a M3, most likely not. Will it be a great car -- I feel certain of that as well.
