Help with DCT Trans

So unlucky me was following a car that dropped a chunk of ice. The piece of ice hit the underneath of my car and poked a hole through my DCT tranny fluid pan. At the same time it broke 2 pieces ( 1 is the transmission fluid pump ) And the other I cannot find anywhere ( the black piece ). BMW does not sell the part seperately and only part of the full transmission assembly. I dont want to order a full transmission only to replace this small piece of plastic ( does anyone know its utility? )

I think you only broke the pickup! It's a black plastic 90 that goes flat and pulls fluid from lowest point of pan. They do sell these if that's your issue. Same thing happened to my DCT pan from a big chunk of asphalt. I replaced pan and pickup and was all good. I'm trying to locate my pictures to make sure what I am saying but I might be off in your case. Your pictures confuse me a bit. Can you get a total pic of whole area? I recall removing that silver torx and the rest of that collar (whit & black plastic) will come off for you to put the new one on.

Hey yes that part broke as well but im referring to the black box beside the pickup... the small black part that seems to open and close on the complete right.

Man that sucks. Hope you manage to fix this cheaply. Another reason to upgrade to an aluminum DCT pan.
