I may try them as well......ive read good and bad reviews of Mpower....I see they work on many other types of cars besides BMW which is somewhat of a turn off for me.

I did talk to Alex at ABR and was at least impressed with him on the phone...... He seemed pretty experienced in the work and answered all of my questions......Im waiting on a quote from him now.

Alex is great as well. It's really where you are located in the city. Alex is up north and Ted is pretty much in the middle. Ted has done a lot of work for my friends and sponsors one of our local groups.

I drove my car from Austin to have him do the diff and sub-frame bushings. And when it's time to have the bearings done, if I don't do them myself, I'll be visiting him again. Dude knows his stuff.

Ask him about his truck

How much do these folks charge for a bearing job? I assume they charge the same every time, but wanted to know what each shop actually does charge.

I talked to Ted yesterday. $2500 for the job at MPower. He's been doing a lot of them recently.

Does that price include the bearings and rod bolts? If so, are they both OEM?

Alex @ ABR. His rates and prices might be a tad bit higher than Ted's, but I know Alex stands by his work. If you have a chance, just run by his shop one day...it's pretty neat!

"A lot"? I find that hard to believe. Ask for references. There aren't lines out the door of any shop with folks needing S65 rod bearings done.

Go see Alex. Don't half ass this.

I believe MPower has done more S65 rod bearings than any other shop in the area due to the number of superchargers they install.
