Correct. BMW is very smart. Imagine they took an e92, inserted the CF front seats in black and CF hood, otherwise the interior and exterior were the same. The car would drop 100 lbs from its weight and no one would care because it didn't look new, different, and flashy.

Everyone wants to point the finger at marketing, but seriously, this is the kind of marketing that makes the brand interesting.

Pretty cool car. I like the subtle styling cues that BMW borrowed from the aftermarket ; ) Or maybe it was their grand plan all along.

That new backseat is really cool...and the front seats of course.

Hope they do it on the e92 later-on and delete the back seat.

I want those seat! Do not mind the color combination on the exterior, either. Do not really like the bright red interior though. It is just too much! I expected much more in the way of weight savings. Not worth it in my opinion, yet the increased displacement and power is welcomed.

I really don't understand all the heavy options that are mandatory on this car.

Otherwise love the engine, brakes, seats and carbon fiber. We need a US version that is an E92, and doesn't require all those dumb heavy options like DCT, Nav, etc.

Oh and make it available in large enough numbers that actual enthusiasts can get one, not just collectors who are going to hide it in a garage in bubble wrap.

It's about a 15 - 20% bump in price. Here in the US, that will likely amount to $78K - $84K, if they sold it here.
