Had the same thing happen with the hard mounts. Will 100% buy Trackspec mount when they are ready!

No front rods necessary.
Tested at ACS at 147 mph and it held perfectly
What is the splitter material?

What is the splitter material?
Its called tetris.
Its a material that Nascar cars are using as splitter.
A little heavier than carbon fiber but stronger than anything in the market lol

Did you contact them? Jake from hard is acting like this has never happened before and I'm the idiot for not bolting the splitter to the bumper. Everyone I've spoken to always says to never bolt directly to the bumper. So I didn't, and reinforced it in six locations. None of them were damaged in any way and I didn't hit the front of the splitter anywhere for the whole thing to bend backwards the way it did

I'd do both. Hard mounting and bumper mounting. Every little bit cumulatively helps share the load.
So you had this piece of wood mounted under, but not attached to, the bumper?

Can't source it unless you buy 10k in boards.
I talked to Trackspec just now. He thinks he can start selling in a month or so.
He is the type of guy that wants to make sure someone won't crash at the track due to his parts failing, so until he's perfectly happy with the mounts and splitter, he will keep testing.
He asked me to tell everyone that he will rush to release the e92 product first.
The good thing prices aren't as expensive as CF honeycomb but with more rigidity.
He said that if anyone has questions, you can call him directly.

I wouldn't recommend mounting to the bumper.
1- makes a pita to work on the car
2- if you go off, you don't want the splitter to pull your bumper.

Sorry warp lolol. Tegris. Not Tetris

Interesting perspective and makes sense, thanks for that tid bit.

Maybe I'll keep my gt4 on the bumper and this splitter separate but sandwiched.

Yea. James paick splitter is chassi mount only. Not bumper nor lip holding it.

Unfortunately no, I'm on my honeymoon through Monday.
I'll be loosely monitoring from the pool in Cabo.

What ever happened to Trackspec's chassis mounted splitter for the e92 M3, did they abandon the project?

@Malek@MRF is doing a limited run (I think 50?) of a GTS style splitter/lip combo that is chassis mounted and the splitter element is adjustable. Not certain when they will be available but I saw one and it looked to be of a VERY high quality.

Anything Malek produces and associates with is going to be high quality. He's that kind of guy.

Agreed - I asked him to hold a slot for me - it is not cheap, but it will be worth it 👍🏻👌🏻

If you look on Instagram, Malek posted a pic of the new chassis mounted splitter/lip.
