Did you have a damage on the drive shaft because of the cv joint, is that what I you said?
The constant velocity joint is the CV joint that mates to the diff.

I understand that. I don't understand is if you had to replace only the CV joint or the entire driveshaft because of the CV joint.

Gotcha, most dealers do not replaces components on the driveshaft. They only replace the whole thing. You can buy any one of the parts that make up a whole driveshaft however. I asked this but they don't offer that as a repair.

Sorry I forgot to report back. It's been so long. For my case the flywheel replacement with the clutch job solved the vibration. I had 110k miles at the time.

My issue was kinda flywheel related too.

Actually, my crankshaft was missing the pilot bearing (it supports the gearbox pilot axle onto the crankshaft).

I know, flywheel looks horrible, but believe me, I only put the pilot bearing and solved all the vibration.

First picture is the flywheel in the engine, without the pilot bearing.

Second picture is the engine without the flywheel, but with the pilot bearing installed.
