I'll be on Michelin PSS the whole time. Going to be at the Summit Point circuits (x3) and 1 weekend at VIR.

I did see this thread https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1857338 about using the camber plates and just having different toe depending on what camber setting you're on. I don't mind the extra work on my end which is why I was thinking of doing the string alignments myself before/after each event.

With that said, for a track setup, what's a good camber and total toe to start out with? I was thinking -3.0 camber but wasn't sure about a good toe setting.
0 toe up front is a good start.

i'm 1/8 toe in rear at static. will change under compression..

depends on your tire too. but thats generally my baseline.

I tried many settings but at this point this is what I have settled on:
Front camber -3.5
Rear Camber -2.0 ( can go to -2.2)
Front toe: toe out very close to 0 but not 0
Rear Toe: Toe in. very close to 0 but not 0.

Toe is measured in different scales so not sure how to communicate a number. On mine it is:
Front Toe out .05
Rear Toe in .05

Hope this helps. others have a better grasp on the meaningful of the numbers.

just go ECF or RS4.
I asked what the case would be if they switched my order to nt01's. The guy was super nice, price matched to the rt660's and gave the better discount that the nt01's have. So ended up getting them cheaper than any of the above I'll take it lol

Man I was happy getting down into the 18's during my last race thinking 17s was a good TT3 target - and then you go and drop a 16 like that! Awesome!!! Was fun watching you guys fight it out all weekend - just a great battle between all four of you.[/QUOTE]

Sure can't wait for ECR next month are you going to make it out? Personally it's not as great or fun as MSRC and not really any mistakes can happen to ruin a lap but should be a good turn out I hope. Only been there like 3 times on the entire track myself.

Open face helmet for track days… anyone a fan? My top of the line motorcycle helmet is ready to retire. Been thinking an open face helmet might be nice for a track day but generally I go to the most advanced safest helmet option (I'm a risk manager by trade) and like the idea of HANS device capability down the road.

Pretty much all SA2015+ Helmets are pre-drilled for Head restraint devices.

Bell and Zamp makes some cool open face helmets, carbon if you like. I like the open face ones with visors for sun

https://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/...mpson-hybrid-s i've been meaning to buy this so I can have head restraint with the stock 3pt seatbelt.

I don’t like the open face, when things go flying on the track like dust/rocks/debris the last thing you want is that stuff to get in your eyes

Same. I had a pretty sizable piece of tire slag fly into the car and wedge between my face and the helmet. Now I roll with the visor down.

If our slightly silly US safety rules were less silly about windows being up at a track day, this would be less of a problem. But, yes. The full face is not for when things are going well, it's for things are upside down and on fire

That's the same reason for the windows down rule. Windows won't budge after the power is cut or mechanism damaged.

Went there last Dec and really enjoyed it. I like Cresson too but ECR resonates a bit more with me - but both are a very nice breakup of my typical COTA/Harris Hill rotation/rut that I get stuck in not having much time to travel right now. It's my oldest son's birthday that weekend though so can't make it out next month.

I typically run visor down as a rule but was having problems with a new visor fogging up this weekend. Got hit twice - once when someone went off in front of me & again when another car had some parts grenade on it. Both times had debris hit my face through the eye opening. Very solid reminder for me not to get complacent with leaving it open - fix the fogging problem immediately & get back to closed visor asap.

What about a vented visor? Like little holes around the bottom of the face shield? Might help.

Speedholes?!
