need some input, so i am working on practicing my left foot brake.. pretty much everyday. will be implementing that at willow springs saturday.

my issue is that i've notice. my thicc thighs prevent me from feeling comfortable doing it.

i'm about a 38-40in waist to give an idea of that.. i just feel the pedal is so far away from my left foot... if i am not already pre-staging my left foot on the brake it feels like an eternity.. especially since i am of a larger build.

i am DCT so no need of concern of a clutch pedal... was thinking of getting a larger brake pedal .-.

what have you done to make left foot braking more comfortable, for you?

I "pre-stage" it too. Immediately after downshift. In a manual.

Only on cotton corners and and sweeper lol

Pinnacle in the UK makes a larger brake pedal cover if you want an easy plug n play option

Under what kind of conditions do you all left foot brake? Hard braking at the end of a straight? Or mid sweeping corner to prevent high speed understeer?

right pre-staging seemed like a weird term to use, but its literally me just resting my foot above the brake haha.

i was looking at getting this from turner, since we work with their parent company.

sweeping corners, like i have 0 experience at big willow outside of sim practice.. but T8 to T9 i could use left foot braking.

if i am braking hard i would just use my right leg.

but i can see some areas being more effective since i am dct i can get back on throttle sooner even if by .1 second.

The only issue using a brake pedal for an auto is the that only 2 of the holes would line up with or fit on the existing DCT pedal for you to attach it.

Left foot braking for what? The only thing my left foot does is operate the clutch.

Yes, if no down shift is required for the respective corner.

Got these auto transmission BW pedals and they're nice, I would recommend them - https://www.bimmerworld.com/BMW-Inte...nsmission.html

Not all four of the screws can be used but I got three in there and it's not going to budge. I'm braking with my left foot using the left edge of the brake pedal most of the time.

Is the BW brake pedal bigger than the automatic pedal?

I installed the automatic pedal for my DCT and left foot brake anywhere including street driving

It should be the same size, but the grip makes it better so it would be a good upgrade to your auto pedals.

I tried going that route but my orders were cancelled repeatedly since the places I found ran out of stock.

God Damn Group B... what a bunch of incredibly amazing psychopaths.

Speaking of Audis, anyone drive turbo Audis before their M adventures? I built a big turbo B5 A4 in High School, that's where my life started going downhill . (I also lived way too close to 034Motorsport) anyhow, I've been drooling over this car.

I always wanted one of the Quattros https://bringatrailer.com/audi/ur-quattro/

I don't think there's any parts for early Audi's though and that really dampens the experience beyond collecting.

An RS2 avant would be cool too, I'm still a fan of the B5 S4's... They're a bear to work on but small/turbo AWD 6spd cars are hard to find in 2022.

Pretty sure I have an E46M3 rolling chassis falling in my lap soon so it's time to start looking for a powerplant. I'm not accustomed to driving a reliable track car like my M3 so I need a project car now
