^I saw that one for sale. Modded to perfection. Nothing for you to do now but drive it. Lol. I think the PO could have got closer to 30k for it. That's a 30k car all day long here in Ma. Congrats on the awesome pick up man.

Thank you. You're absolutely right. I saw it up FORSALE a few times and it never sold. So I decided to go take a look a see what offer I could've gotten. He told me if I purchased that day he'll get me a good deal. I went to my bank and worked some magic before closing time and got him his bottom price. He was just as surprised as I was when I came back with the money and I left with an M3.

I've added a few things since I got the car. New Yokohama Advan apex tires, carbon fiber side mirror replacements, GS style carbon fiber side skirt extensions and GTS style carbon fiber front lip.

^ Yeah, good job on that one, that's exactly the kind of car and deal I was hoping for.

Thank you thank you. I was in search for an M3 but the F80's in Yas Marina and in a 6 speed in SoCal, but couldn't find one. If I did, it was priced too high for my limit. Eventually, I'll find one in the future.

You got the right car. I had an 17 F80 ZCP for nearly 4yrs. The e92 is so much more fun to drive. I never connected with my F80. The sound it makes and it's massive size kills the experience.

Oh dang, did you sell the F80 to come back to the E9x or you always had an E9x in the garage?

I wanted to stay in the turbocharged world after selling my 16 Hyperblue sti because of the boost and higher torque instead of the NA V8. Before the M3 I had an 99 Durango SLT V8 that was handed to me from a coworker for free. All I had to do was pass smog/emission and update the registration, but it had some issues of the computer not sending the signal to the smog so it didn't pass. So I got rid of it for about $500.00 after I found an 04 Benz E500 V8. So I started to fall in love with the V8 and ended up with the E92. Haven't regret my purchased. Usually I have buyers remorse every time I drive off with the new car. I knew I had the right car when I was smiling all the way home.

^ I had a 99 dodge Dakota sport that I ran straight pipes out the sides in front of the rear wheels. Bought it new in 99. Loved that truck. I've had 36 cars since then!

Sold the f80 and was thinking about an M2 comp, but that just felt like an smaller more twitchy F80. Also thought about a C63 and was planning on driving one after the e92. But the V8 with 8,300 redline and hydraulic steering stole the show.

My new whip...

When purchased: April 1st 2021
Year and Model: 2011 E92 Alpine/Black
Miles: ~35k
Options: Carbon roof, ZCP, Cold Weather, Premium II, Convenience, individual audio
Transmission: DCT

Paid: $41,500 with new M Performance Exhaust V2

Been looking for a good while, lost out on several along the way. Main concerns was low mileage and enthusiast owned with proper maintenance history. Nailed all of that with this one. Getting very hard to find lower mile examples outside of places like EAG that add $10k to the Price because they can. The PO here is a great guy and true enthusiast all the way, and the car is 9-9.5 out of 10 almost across the board. Don't have any of my own pics yet as I am picking it up next week, but here are a couple from the PO.

Beauty. Love AW even though they are the most common, there's a reason why everyone wants it.

Thanks! Yeah, love Alpine, this will be my 3rd Alpine bimmer. Really wanted Mineral over extended Fox red, but it would seem others wanted them even more as I lost out on 2 of them to local buyers. Such is life...

He had them shaved actually, and they did a fantastic job, you can't tell at all. Looks so much better without the reflectors.

Just picked her up Thursday and drove her home (~2000 miles!) and I can tell you it was a blast! She is 9.5/10 across the board, complete with DCT gasket service/fluid change and rod bearing done recently. Interior still looks new, a total gem! Wow, did I get lucky!

Just came across this thread. I'll share my purchase from last year.

2012 e92 ZCP, Space Grey, Partial novillo with fox red
Purchased: May 2020 from Stevens Creek BMW in San Jose. Car was a 1 owner that was traded in for a new M5 Comp
Miles: 64k
Options: ZCP, Cold weather, Premium, DCT, Sirius, enhanced premium sound, auto high beams
Extras: Brand new PS4S tires, Throttle bodies bank 1&2 replaced under warranty, MPE v2, M Performance Steering wheel, PPF on the entire front end.
Price Paid: $23,700 (they had it listed at $24,990)
IM not sure why they had it listed so low, and were willing to budge on price despite only having the car listed for sale for less than 1 day. It popped up on car gurus late Friday, I went in at 9am the next day and bought it.
I had rod bearings and motor mounts done a few weeks after buying the car for $2k.

These recent reported prices seem too good to be true. All the prices I've seen from the auto classified sites are asking for much more as well as the for sale forum here on m3post. Are these prices a result of negotiation or am I missing something?

Sounds like some pretty evil wheels. Was there a ritual involved during the powder application process?

These guys are happening upon the last of the deals, I think. Used car prices are up across the board (I have a source deep in the auction system), and the E9x is most likely at the bottom of the depreciation curve. I think within the next 3 years we'll be where the E46 M3 is at now, with cars at 100k miles pulling over $30k, and low mileage cars will be up over $50k again. Given that the E36 and E46 are 6 cyl cars, the E9x with its S65 V8 will be an interesting one to watch.

😂😂😂 I didn't realize that. But yes, a small goat was sacrifice to get the satan look.

I think you are correct. I looked for a solid 3 months and was kinda tracking how much was being asked for the cars I would want (have no idea how much they may have actually sold for). I ruled out overly modded cars and anything over about 50k miles. Just during that time I watched lower mileage cars go up around $2-3k asking, from both dealers and private party. In the end I was left to decide if I wanted to wait for the "perfect" car even if it cost more the longer I waited, or to "settle" to some degree for a less than ideal car but get it now before the prices continued the upward trend. In the end I settled on only the interior color. Clearly the trend is upward even for higher mileage cars, but the lower ones, say <30k, are going nuts. Add a hard-to-find color or option/model and the prices are truely crazy. I would say we definitely passed the bottom of the depreciation curve on these cars.
