Offset head on between a five series and a two series. Other driver was ejected due to not wearing seatbelt.

All the safety engineering in the world can’t do anything for you if you fail to do the most basic part of it and wear your seatbelt.

Glad he was able to walk away from this. Shame for the driver who didn’t.

Over the years I've supplied many BMWs to IIHS for testing purposes. They are by far my best customer over my 46-years of selling BMWs. Great facility where I've been able to view many crash tests over the years.

Too bad the 2-series driver wasn't belted, which may have changed the speculation stated that the smaller BMW may have faired much worse in a collision with the larger 5-series, when in fact there's only slightly more than a 500-pound difference between the two BMWs and they likely share many of the same safety design and features.
