Car troubles ): limp mode blues
Been having issues right at start up with my car - if I move the car at all during the cold start cycle it goes into limp mode. The car finally throw in the towel last night, service engine light and limp mode for days. After many hours of trying to get my cable to read diagnostic, heres what I pulled up -
2BOD - idle speed control valve monitor bank 1 2743 - lambda sensor heater resistance diagnostic VKAT bank 2 2742 - lambda sensor heater resistance diagnostic VKAT bank 1 2B57 - Motor emergency programm activated From its behavior I initially suspected throttle actuators - long start, random limp mode but usually only upon initial startup (even just pulling the car out of the garage at 1 mph would induce limp mode). Now, based on the codes, I'd be right to assume I need to swap out the IAC, yes? Idle was smooth up to this point, I did notice high idle on one occasion but usually idled right where it should. Lambda sensor codes seem to point to O2 sensors, but I just replaced those not 6 months ago. Ill start with idle air and see what happens. Just wanted to confirm with the forum before ordering parts. Thanks! |
