Detailed: E36 and E92 M3

Detailed my two babies today....

Used: Soap, Water, Towel

Kidding, but seriously after seeing all the detailing threads I decided to take some before and after pics of my Jet Black M3 showing a simpler way to care for your paint.

I am of the philosophy that you should touch the paint/clear coat as little as possible. I used all Micro Fiber pads and waffle cut towels for washing and drying. I would not touch my paint with anything less.

The only trick I have is that while the car is still wet I use some Griots spray on wax before I dry. Thats basically all I do.

Keeping contact with the paint at a minimum has helped me to avoid any spidering in the clearcoat. I hope to never have to resort to polishing in order to hide superficial scratches in the clear.

Enjoy.... My E36 is still looking good after 10 years...of course silver is way easier to keep looking good!

Oh yeah:

Car Wash: Griots Car Wash Soap, Griots Micro Fiber was pad
Wheels: Griots Wheel Cleaner
Griots Spray on Wax pre dry
Griots waffle cut micro fiber drying towels.

Looks great man! I also believe in touching the clear coat as little as possible.

How sweet would it be if you got an E46 M3 ?

Nice! I love the e36 so much. I had two. A 97 then a 99. To this day, its the best car I ever owned. Had an e46, the car was great. Have an E92 now, but still reminisce about that 99 cosmos black E36. What a special car. Enjoy it!

hahaha that word "freak" sounds so innocent with bimmer in front of it i doubt that i am more of a bimmer freak that you are but, since i don't have a car lol, i just try to stay into the BMW community and just wave at every possible bmw driver i see, haven't gotten a finger yet i swear on my life my friends make fun of me because every time they see a bmw they are like watch your GF is going by and she is standing right next to me and one guy even told me that i would give up my gf for over a bmw lol, that was a hard choice since she was compared to an m6
