really? did I say sit back? It doesn't hurt to call or in this case call your g/f's agent, or read the damn policy statement first.

Gladly pay that fine, unlike you who would rather pay extra money monthly for years and just take it in the turd cutter like a punk and not fight, yeah this is the way things get done right???

I was stationed in VA couple years back and received a 41 in a 20 conveniently 21 over went to court and talked to the prosecutor and she talked to cop to get it down graded from reckless driving to just speeding. He was reluctant but agreed. 390 dollars later I checked my NH driving license and still not on my record after 7 years. And my insurance didn't go up as USAA check my driving record from my license state of NH

If you have a PA license and get a ticket in Virginia it will not show up on your driving record (points) UNLESS your delinquent with paying the fine AND theres an agreement between PA and VA DMV where they report delinquencies to each other.
If at a later date you apply for a VA drivers license this speeding ticket will come up on your new license. |

Hopefully this doesn't get locked. I wanna hear whiney pants try to convince us he owns the car (and all his other cars) and pays the insurance. We'll see if he shows up again to this thread.

I'll add my $0.02 FWIW.
First, I've lived all over the country and had licenses in several different states. I've been able to stay clean for 3 years now, the longest run since I've held a license. Prior to that I was pulled over in excess of 50 times and have received at least 30 tickets, many of which were out of my home state. So, I look at this situation differently than others. If you simply pay this and get caught speeding next month, you may be screwed. I NEVER count on ins companies not finding out. While the first one may not affect you, a little 9 over next month coupled to the first ticket is going to raise your rates. Be careful what you plea. Your home state may interpret it differently than the state in which you received the citation. This is particularly true between NC and SC. Regardless of the hard rules, all can apparently be bent. It's all about who you know. In your case, without knowing the right person, you need to get the right lawyer. VA doesn't give a shit about your safety. They want your money. By paying a VA attorney and the courts you've put more money into their system. Take advantage of that and find an attorney that will promise you that it will go away. As was quoted, typical rates are around $150. You mail him a check and your info and that's the end of it. You'll probably get a letter or email later with the receipt. End. Record is intact and your free to press your luck again. BTW, having logged many miles across three counties, most of which were above the speed limit I will say this: VA and OH are the two states in which I will never speed. VA because they're super strict and you're not going to talk your way out of it and OH because they're corrupt dicks. But that's a different story. |

Lol, 'I CANT AFFORD THE POINTS!'
Then don't speed. duh. 73 in a 55 rofl. What were you expecting? If you speed and break the law then take the consequences. Eventually you will learn. I got 2 tickets within a week 10 years ago and stopped speeding. No tickets since. This is not complicated. One ticket won't raise your rates. If you want to know if it will then go to your insurance companies website, get an anonymous quote and don't list the ticket, then get another with the ticket reported and compare the numbers. Why is this so hard? A lot of states if you just pay it quickly they will take your money and not add points anyway. |
