What Vitamins Are Okay for Active People?

I'm curious about the vitamins for active people. My husband is very busy with his work. He is also active in sports like basketball. What vitamins will you suggest for him?

I was getting leg cramps in my calf while running (run 4-5x/week) all of the sudden. started stretching better and taking magnesium and potassium, seems to have sorted it out.

Belgie turned me on to magnesium for cramps, haven't had them since. Feel the burn like they want to, but . . .

I take a Super C and OptiMen vitamins. Don't really notice a difference but it's supposed to be good for you...

I take quinine for night cramps, and they have all but disappeared! (I know it's not a "vitamin" but it helps me)

It takes too much work to eat a fully balanced diet Most people should be supplementing somewhere likely.

Speaking of all the leg cramps...I used to get them bad, while sleeping, mostly. Started with potassium supplements, and soon switched to eating more bananas instead. Don't get leg cramps anymore.

Thanks for that info on leg cramps. Perhaps, I need to start on potassium also.

Eating banana's works to. The whole vitamin thing is kind of controversial. There's lots of opinions that say most of it goes out in your piss, having said that my bride insists on a decent daily multi for both of us, and an 81mg ASA which in the long run I think will do you much more good.
