i consider myself a pretty die hard bmw fan who knows his models and options etc. i can spot a poser of any sort from a mile away. but if this car rolled by me, i would seriously be forced to doubt myself - "wait, maybe BMW DOES make an e91 M3"
brilliant work. well thought out. very oem. great attention to detail. now lets get some kids in there and take it to the track

Wow, I'm glad to see someone finally did this. When the E46 M3 was still fairly new I ran on a track here in Southern CA with basically the E46 M3 version of this car.
Congrats, factory like attention to detail (although all that means from the pics we've seen is body work and some interior bolt ons). So you do mean full subframes, suspension arms, axle, diff, roll bars, shocks and steering? Shortened or lengthened driveshaft? What was the most difficult part of the build? Really a shame that the project was not documented. Would love to see the build process. How long did the build take - calendar time and man-months? Only thing missing is a real CF roof. Why was that not done - personal preference? Congrats again, awesome, 1 of a kinder!

Thanks for the positive comments.. to start off an m3 shell(e90,e92) are exactly the same(no extra strength) as a standard shell(e90,e92,318,320,330,335). the only differents is the quarters are wider & the boot floor. an e93 m3 shell has extra strength through the sill's. My car has M3 engine/gearbox(dct), full suspension(now KW V3 Coilovers), driveshafts, cradles, exhaust, propshaft, loom(rear e91), front panels/lights, full interior(back of back seats taken off the e90 and retrimmed onto e91 seat). back door panel the same but e90 doesn't have rear speakers so i fitted rear speakers(pioneer.!! i know bad move). took about 6 months(give or take a few weeks) = stripe e91, paint engine bay, fit engine/gearbox/running gear, electrics, paint again(everything), build complete car then programme ecu's/modules..... difficult part of the build was rear quarters/rear bumper.. if i built the car from scratch it would be documented. As for the CF roof, you don't get one on a E90 M3.!!!!! Hope this clears up a few things. it has been built over a year now, she needs a bit of paint(just striped the headlining/sunroof out and had the roof/spoiler done black & new roof rails), BBK'S for the front(as we speak) & programme the new CIC nav then shes finished... thanks again....
