Disneyland In Sept

Ok, so I'm taking the family to Disneyland in later part of Sept. Where should I go for the best deals on tickets, airfare, and hotels? What else is there to do? Any particular sites to see? I'm going for 5 days so I want to maximize my stay and enjoy the trip and do as many things possible. Are there stuff for 4 y/o girls at Disney? Appreciate any help that you guys can offer.

Las Vegas would be nice but it will have to wait for another time. Cali is closer and the flight won't be so long. Already done the NY thing.

San Francisco is really nice and you can visit San Jose also you should go to Northern California such as Napa Valley and Sonoma

Dood- its a 4 y/o's heaven!! They have snow white/peter pan/alice in wonderland/cinderella rides. She will have a ball. They have loads of stuff. its great. I love disneyland!!

AAA has a package... i went there after my graduation with about 20 friends... it doesnt cover transportation obviously but you live @ a motel across the street and you get 3-day allday passes to disneyland and california adventures + tickets to universal. btw disneyland gets old real quick... after 1 1/2 days i was satisfied... that trip was i think 3 days 2 nites? or maybe 4days 3 nights... i forget. cost i believe was 275 per person.

I agree. You can cover disneyland in about 2 days. Depends on how much you see the first day. If there are massive lines, then you should go for 2 days. There is also Disney's California adventures theme park next to it. So you can buy a pass for both, and then you will need the 4 days or whtever.

We were going for about 4-5 days so didn't know how long it would take to do all the rides well atleast for my little girls anyway. Are the passes that let you go to the front of the line worth it? What else to do in Cali? I'm sure we want to stop by the beach and take some scenic drives along the coast. Which is better for my 4 y/o girl? Worth going to both? Stay at Disney Hotels?

I can use my military discount to buy the tickets, hotel and airfare but I was just wondering if maybe there was something better.

Well staying at disney hotels have their advantages. But personally, i think they are a little overpriced. You can stay at a decent hotel thats close by for much cheaper. However, it depends on you. When i was a kid i loved staying at the disney hotel, but now that i think about it.. it was such a waste of money for my parents.

As for those front of the line passes.. now disney has a fastpass program. You go to certain rides, and take a ticket. And it has a time where you come back and you wont have to wait as long. So you can grab like 4-5 fastpasses at a time.

Actually you can only get 1 fastpass at a time. It sucks.

My woman been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld and apparently, DL doesn't even compare to DW. But if your intinerary doesn't permit DW, I guess you can still be fine with DL.

I just didn't want to spend all my time standing in line and for a 4 y/o that seems like eternity. But if the wait is not that long then it might be ok. How far are the other hotels? Do you know of the names? Thanks for all the info!

Are you talking about fastpass? Fastpass is a line that moves more quickly than the regular line. Fastpass only allows a limited amount of people in that line during certain time slots. Keep in mind you can only get one fastpass at a time. So if you get a fastpass for Buzz Lightyear you can't get another one until you have used the fastpass.

I'm not looking to get on the rides for myself but for my little girl. Her mom is leaving for Iraq for her job and wants to have some fun before she leaves. So not about us but for her.

For a 4 year old Space Mountain may be a little extreme. It's basically an indoors rollercoaster in the dark (fast one, let me add) - I am pretty sure your kid will cry.

You may want to spend a few days in Anaheim doing Disney stuff and then head down to San Diego to go to the Zoo and Sea World for two days.

Thats something that we definately will do. We went to the Seaworld in San Antonio 2 years ago and she had a blast. The Sea park here sucks! You would think they would have a good one being in the middle of the ocean.

How far is the drive?

Another thing about Disneyland. I'm not sure if they will still have their 50th anniversary fireworks show, but it's a pretty good show. You sit in front of the magic castle and there are fireworks going off all around you. You have to get a seat early to get a good view, I remember getting there an hour early.

You may have to choose one over the other, your kid could be snoozing by then. I would choose the 50th anniversary show because I'm not sure how much longer it will be at Disneyland.
