Which afe midpipe? Catless? The cheapest power upgrade is going catless if you haven't already.

Hit the dyno to see how much power you are making now and how much is on the table. You may have some easy gains to be had from things like spark plugs, O2 sensors, and throttle body boots. Or you may be like me after I went down the entire checklist and still only made 512whp on a 650 pulley.

ESS has a 94mm pulley which should get you roughly the same boost as the 650 kit for a fraction of the cost. They're very secretive about how the full 650 upgrade is justified over just swapping the pulley, but I don't think the new beltdrive system is worth $3k. Not sure if they still make the 92mm pulley as Longboarder mentioned so 94mm might be your best bet for an easy 20-30hp.

+1 on this.

i started at around 490whp when I first installed the 625 kit and then got it up to 570+whp without doing anything too crazy. i'm too lazy to explain what i did lol.

just buy a pulley direct from votech and have it back milled. the pulley will cost you 80 dollars.

Do you have a link for the 94mm pulley?

AFAIK, Vortech doesn't make a 94mm pulley. ESS does, but it is not listed on their website so you'd have to talk to them about ordering one. Vortech does make a 3.6" pulley which is about 92mm. The 625 kit comes with a 96.5mm, which is the same as Vortech's 3.8".

Some machine shops will make custom pulleys for superchargers if nothing off the shelf is the right size and can be machined to fit. I had this done years ago — crank pulley, tensioner pulley, blower pulley.

Sell the supercharger and drivetrain then go with a supercharged LT4 motor swap for 650hp. The powerband must be insane in this car.

I would skip a 94mm and go straight 92mm. No reason not to the 92 is actually closer to the 650kit.94m will not get you to 8psi.

Quick question if you don’t mind.

How does O2 sensors affect performance? What "gains" in HP would OP get from new sensors?

Besides a pulley doesn't ESS also give you larger injectors with the 650 upgrade?

Primary O2 sensors only affect performance if they are not providing the ECU with 100% accurate readings. They lose accuracy over time which could lead to decreased performance.

The 650 kit does supposedly use different injectors. I say "supposedly" because I don't know what model injector they currently use and ESS is very secretive about this. With that said, AJ told me the 625 tune and injectors are fine up to about 550whp.

Don't expect "gains" from O2s, but getting power back......safely (in a nutshell).

Larger injectors (depends on build, as injector options have changed over time), replacement Crank and S/C pulley, belts and software.

On stock cats / exhaust I can understand the how that would work. Thanks. But what about full replacement systems, like an Akrapovic Evolution. I know a tune can turn off the CEL but is a tune necessary to account for O2 readings out of range?
Thanks

Cats do not affect how an O2 operates, but the tune is required in order to keep everything in check and operating at maximum potential safely. Primary O2s are before the converter anyway, Secondary O2s work as monitors and have a small effect on long term fuel trims.
