Car Battery replacement

My OEM battery is starting to go and I'm looking at aftermarket replacements. I've considered the motomaster eliminator (CT), propoint (princess auto) and everstart (walmart). I hear the eliminator batteries are made by exide, which also manufactures the OEM bmw batteries. What are you guys using? Any suggestions?

CT batteries are now provided by East Penn, a very large distributor of OEM and Aftermarket battery solutions.

Using the Eliminator Ultra (AGM Battery) and it's been great so far for two seasons! CT having several locations makes it convenient in case you need a warranty replacement for any reason.

Where do you buy Varta batteries?

Eliminator series seems like the easiest option considering there is a CT around every corner here...

If anyone was interested I went with a motomaster eliminator battery (CT) which was $229. 850CCA, 92ah with a 5 yr warranty. Works great and I coded/registered it to the car with no issues.

Battery itself was pita to replace...

I got a new battery at Endras BMW with the Maxbimmer discount for $295+HST ($195 for battery + $100 for registration)

Autohaus wanted $430+HST

I tried getting it covered under warranty at Autohaus but no luck.

Now I suppose I could have bought a battery from CT and registered it with Carly but I'm not very mechanically inclined. Anyhow, just putting it out there in the event anyone needs their battery replaced and intends on going to the dealership!

Since I live in Toronto, it was a relatively far drive but worth it. I'd definitely go back. Just my $0.02!

Most GTA dealerships will sell you an OEM E9X battery for around $230 + HST. I got mine from Policaro for $195 via the MaxBimmer discount, plus $20 core-return.

That's a really good price.

I called around to Autohaus/Parkview/Downtown/Town+Country and they were all priced way higher than Endras :T

I live closest to Parkview however I have never been there for service. They do have an awesome M showroom though and you can sit in all the cars!

As for service, I recall reading this last year in regard to service at Parkview..not exactly a glowing review..

How is the new battery working so far in our recently -40+ weather? My battery is going as well and I'm deciding which and where to get it.

I'm a bit hesitant in taking to any shop because I had a recent mishap where a shop disconnected my battery due to some work and when they reconnected it, they flied my FRM module.
