I believe the Bilsteins are monotube and the KW's are twin tube.

I've had my KW Clubsports for over a year now without any problems.
Got them installed by AutoTalent, in the LA area. I believe KWs are monotube.

Here you can see the Bilstein drop:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=339023 I had Bilstein on every 6 of my M3 before and always was happy. Drove this also on an E92 - just perfect! |

yes and no...
Variants 1 through 3 are of the twin-tube design, as are the Clubsports and the Competition 2-ways. only KW's Competition 3-ways are of the monotube design. Quote:

...but i suppose i could have been more specific in said that some 1-way adjustable dampers adjust rebound only, while other 1-way adjustable dampers adjust rebound and low-speed compression together (but not individually).

So after driving with my KW V3's for awhile I can tell you that they handle amazingly. That being said, they are exceedingly noisy, as has been reported, and its driving me crazy. Thinking of getting PSS10's now.

What do you mean by "exceedingly noisy"? Im thinking about picking up a set of coils. But just dont know which ones. I was kinda stuck on the KW3's but now might reconsider.

I ran KWs for a short duration on my e46 M3, and they were also very noisey. I eventually got rid of them and went with a GC set up and never looked back.

Checkcaptain: Im debating between KW and Bilstien Pss10. I would already own KW's but there are numerous reports that they are excessively noisy. Can you comment on your PSS10's. Are they noisy at all? Want to here from any owners of pss10. This is my weekend/ fun car but don want squeaks when I take out my girl...

Are you able to use the PSS10 on cars equipped with EDC? I have been waiting over a year for EDC compatible coil-overs to come out, but perhaps it will never be a reality. I had the Porsche PASM compatible PSS9/10 (don't remember which they are) on my 997 and they were fabulous! If I end up keeping the M3 I would like to get coil-overs either soon or down the road in place of my H&R sport springs...

There are a LOT of problems with noise with the KW's on the E90 side.

When modified and fitted with Swift springs, the KW V3 can be a very good coilover system for both street, track, and even light competition events.
