Purchasing BMW M3 in the UK...
Hi all,
I'm seriously considering purchasing an M3 in the next few weeks. What I would like to know is how much discount can I expect to get from a UK dealer for either a Coupe or Convertible with substantial extras (e.g. DCT, Extra Leather, CA, EDC etc.)? I've only spoken to one dealer so far and he says that BMW are not going to be providing discounts on these cars. Also I would like to know whether anyone knows roughly how long would a delivery take if I placed an order now? This is because my dealer says it will take up to one year! Thanks. |

The convertible M3 may have a longer waitlist than the coupe, but a year wait is bullshit. Coupes with DCT will start being delivered in the UK around June/July 08, so I'd put in a order ASAP.
I think you'll find it difficult to get a discount even if you have done previous business with a dealer. The car is just too new. Good luck, though. |

Thanks for the advice Don - do you know why the convertible will take longer? My dealer once again informs me that DCT is going on the convertibles first and because it's more expensive (not to mention slightly slowwer), I would have thought less people have ordered them?
