I only had one Apex wheel on me bend, and that was a direct hit to the wheel on the curbing of Turn 7 at Laguna Seca:

(start at 60 seconds)

You'll notice that I completed the lap and the session without realizing it was broken. It was only after I got back to the pits that I noticed this:

I specifically went for a set of EC7s versus Arc8 because I wanted the extra strength, and it's paid off. The set has lasted me 60+ track days with only that one incident.

When the SM-10s came out, I switched to those and those are running great even though I did this:

It all boils down to cost/benefit analysis for you. Forged is no doubt better, but I don't think all forged wheels are created equal.

I would probably have a hard time driving 10/10ths and hitting curbs if I was in $8000 wheels, but it is what it is.

But man, one track day blew my mind completely. M3 was soooo much better car than s2k. Ran with stock size MP4S, Motul brake fluid, dinan intake, MPE+remus h pipe, everything else stock. Car sounded glorious, my instructor was so impressed with the sound and the car.
Black Friday is coming up soon, so I am thinking about picking up Mode Carbon GTS style wing and their front lips. Do you think it'll help aero? My m3 is my DD, so I need to keep it in modest condition.
Track pads, SS line, Castrol SRF are going to be my next mode for sure.

Who did you run with I was out the 27th I think 1.7CCW with apex. I had the big wing E90 next to the Miami blue GT3

Yes I (went with two other friends) remember seeing your car because my friends knew your vanity plate. That GT3 sounded glorious at the track.

That's tito's definition of a bend. Bro that's about as sheered as your nut sacks were that one time.

just put some gaffer tape over the speed holes in that diffuser and you'll have to rework your whole setup because of all the new downforce

yeah it was easy. I got the part in a few days. It was pretty damn quick coming from russia. lol.

It's pretty sturdy too. You can prob tweak it a little bit to make it functional for sure but looking cool is part of the business

I don't think anything you do to that short of welding a flat underbody to it will make it make more downforce than the extra 15lb it's already adding to the rear end

Should have been more clear- I currently don't own my own trailer. So instead of buying a trailer and then long race ramps, I'm trying to build a bagged trailer for around the same price

Saw a car lose a wheel at MSR Cresson this past weekend. I was at the grid and overheard it on the radio. I said, "I bet you it's a BMW". I was right.

It's always a BMW that loses wheels. Have no idea why...maybe incompetence?

200 ft/lbs per lug. Don't want them getting loose.
