Any interest in a HID angel eye kit?
Im thinking of making an hid angel eye kit for e92/93 It will be the same one you see here on my car. It will be available in any color you want. I know some make a great kit but you cant have your lights on auto and some other stuff that kinda sucks not being able to use when you have a BMW. You will be able to have full function of your lights, etc. just a badass set of halos. I will also offer a for light kit for e90/92/93. All of these will produce zero errors. I will probly sell the kit for 199$. It requires using solid state relays (79$ a piece ) but this is what will make it work right, and of course hid bulbs, ballasts, etc. I would be making hardly any profit but would like to offer a good solution. If there is any interest let me know!
I know the picture makes the halo look blury a little but if you look on the right (how it will appear in person) you can clearly see the halo rings just very bright! |

If you can make the color white and not blue maybe. Have it match the headlights.

If you just slap in an HID kit it wont work. They will either chatter and burnout after a few weeks. or will stay on constantly it just wont work. Mine will have factory features and you will be able to leave your lights on auto etc. Just since their hid's they wont be able to dim off and on like the factory bulbs do.

HID Angle eyes
Yeah, I'd like 4,300k to match the headlights, not high kelvin. I'd be intgerested if professionally done. Just a word of advice--watcdh your backgrounds when you take photos!

Can someone explain to me exactly what these are? How are they different from the headlights we have stock, and how are they better than just replacing the H8's with $15 GP Thunders?

LED Halos - why?
The only reason to go LED rather than H8, IMO, is if you can get more output, which hasn't seemd to be the case in LED systems to date. A side benefit is longer life, but you can buy a heck of a lot of H8 for the price of LED systems. The other thing would be to have a system that doesn't dim on non-DRL mode, like the current lamps do.

LEDs are potentially more efficient (lumens/watt) than even fluorescents, so they typically put out less heat per lumen. The optical system for the halos should not be harmed, I would think.
